Not sure if anyone of you are aware but this black teenager was shot and killed as an act of "Self-defense" (not even sure if you can call it that)
To lazy to post any articles, but any thoughts?

Florida has one of the dumbest gun laws in the world. The worst part is that 12 other states have similar laws.

I don't think you can use self defense as an argument when you're armed with a 9mm pistol and the other guy has a bag of skittles.

Don't think it's racism in the justice system, as some have suggested.

It's more that the self-defence law in Florida is ridiculous and until the phone calls emerged there was nothing to contradict the watchman's account.

The guy should certainly be arrested now, though.

And if he isn't then the suggestion of racism may well be justified.

Has Zimmerman made a statement yet? I've seen a lot of coverage of this but I'm still wondering what he told the cops to not get arrested on scene.

Dude must have spit some serious gold.

The local PD have done terribly. It's not up to them to decide how to interpret the law. That should be argued in front of a jury. At least the state and feds have stepped in.

Even ignoring the issue of one person being armed and the other not, it seems crazy that there is even a suggestion someone could claim self-defence if they have instigated the confrontations.

Yea and tbh I think it's extremely irresponsible for members of the media to be putting a racial spin on this. All they are doing is inciting more trouble.

I think the issue is that there wasn't much of an investigation. Which is why the State's Attorney and Feds are now involved.

Listening to the 911 call from the shooter, it was a definite racial motivation behind him following Martin. However, the inaction of the police department is pretty much a case of laziness rather than race.

Well the racial thing was called into question when he "supposedly" called the kid a "fucking coon"

on the call to the cops. Apparently though the original recording didn't have that part, so it makes me wonder how it got on their or got taken off.

Either way some pretty ridiculous shit and those gun laws are in some of the most racist states *cough* indian *cough* kkk-ville :rndh:

Thing was though this was a full grown man if Trayvon was really doing anything he could have subdued him without shooting

I read about this. Apparently the guard called the cops and they told him not to move but he still went after the kid. Horrible. First rate homicide if you ask me or anyone with a brain.

Well I'm not saying Zimmerman wasn't motivated by the kid's race. I'm sure if Trayvon had been white he probably never would have been shot.

I agree that this is second degree murder.

He wasn't a guard. He's part of the neighborhood watch.

Apparently the cop that didn't press charges was involved in another incident where a student beat up a homeless man and got away scot free. it's on video too

This guy is just an example of why not everybody should have a gun.

The funny thing is that this isn't the only case like this in Florida right now. So they obviously have a problem with pussies getting scared and shooting people.

Also, open carry is for faggots.
