Juve yet to bid for Rodriguez

San Lorenzo have stated that Serie A giants Juventus are yet to table an offer for highly-rated defender Gonzalo Rodriguez.

It had been thought the Stadio Delle Alpi side were close to concluding a deal for the South American stopper, however they have yet to submit a bid.

Italian media are suggesting the player will begin pre-season training with Juve, but until a settlement can be agreed he will be staying with San Lorenzo.

"On Tuesday morning I had a meeting with Hugo Issa, Rodriguez's agent, and he said that he didn't have an offer for the player," said San Lorenzo's vice president Rafael Savino.

"The club hasn't received any confirmation from Juventus saying they want to do the transfer. So I must say that the player will continue in San Lorenzo for the moment."

#3) They've already sold off Samuel for 22 million, and are about to fleece Juve out of 12-15 million for Emerson. Add that up, and that's nearly 37 million Euros to go out and buy players....
Roma debits are about 250 million euros to italian banks. At least 50 % of his incomes for transfers needs to pay and reduce this enourmous debt, that can menace them to go Bankrupt next year, the same way lazio did last season.

Bottom line is this. Its very easy to say that Roma is selling off these players in order to stay afloat. If that was the case, then why won't they entertain offers for Cassano, Pellizoli, or Chivu?? Quite simply, because they know that they will stay afloat, and that sooner or later, an investment group is going to be very interested in this franchise (they would be crazy not to be), ....

Just my two cents. [/QUOTE]

You know why the negotiation of Sensi with the russian oilers stalled? Because the russian detect irregularities in how the team has managed taxes payments and fiscal duties... They were not crazy enough to buy a time bomb.........;)

you wont make money out of roma.

geez, milan are contstantly on top, favorites to win serie a and the cl, roma are not. yet milan are also in debts. basicly every sigle club in italy has debts. so some bussinessmen cant just come put almost half a billion of dollars and wait till it comes back. that just aint gonna happen.

I'm really pessimistic about our transfers right now... Think of it, if Moggi hadn't gone mingy with Davids last year, we wouldn't need Emerson right now, Maresca and Davids would make a deadly combination... I think that Juve will suck next season, and I'll cry through the year because roma, milan and inter are succeeding with our ex-players and this years "transfer targets" next year... Damn, hopefully I'm wrong...

But Andre3000, your post is hinting that roma has better organisation than us, so why do they have any debts at all then?!

Poku, what I'm hinting at, is despite all of the financial problems that Roma has, there is now way on earth that the FIGC will allow Roma to fall out of Serie A.

Everyone on this board is talking about how they can't wait to see the day that Roma is demoted to Serie C.

Its not gonna happen. Trust me on this, they would never allow the major franchise from the Capital to fall into that situation, and will keep finding ways to bail them out. Serie A needs Roma, and I'm sure that Roma is aware of this.

I hate to say this, but if Roma and Juve were faced with demotion and the FIGC had to make a choice on who to save, they would save Roma before they save a squad, that despite all of their scudettos and history, is not even the most popular team in their own city.
