As Juventus supporters we know how unfair penalties can be in recent history, and despite Blatter being a complete imbecile he does have his head on semi-straight in this discussion. I'm sure he has a little bias against Italy, however he is right when it comes to penalties... a barbaric way of deciding trophies of importance if you ask me. Football is about 11v11 not 1v1.

Nobody likes big matches to end in penalty, but you know what? It's the only way! You can't have a rematch, different day, different game. Someone else gets injured, a previously injured player is fit again, not to speak about the fatigue or even the unsolvable problem of organization (the fans in particular, but Blatter obviously doesnÄt care about them).

Can someone please(!) put a person in charge that acutally knows and cares about football? For the love of God!

Expressing his distaste to the penalty shootout full stop.. not at italy... A comment he has made about PK's for years... He's been looking for an acceptable alternative as long as i can remember

he never said something this big before.I didnt see him saying that getting Argentina kicked out on penalties is a tragedy ? or from previous competitions, all the teams that bowed out tragically...why now? when scandalous Italy won the world cup.
