-------------Thuram------------Ferrari------------????????------------------

Bonera doesn't play LCB.
Thuram may leave the club.

I'd buy Kroldrup, Stovini, Yepès, Milito or Lucio for LCB.
I don't think Prandelli will use a 3 man back line.

I hope Moggi will buy Kroldrup, Mexes, and Ferrari, along with Bonera or Oddo as a sub. I think Kroldrup could be a good buy; he has done well this season, especially when Udinese shutout Milan. I think Per can play as a right back, so he could be used there with Thuram on the inside. But correct me if I am wrong on the Per=RB issue.

Hmmm, I have not heard much about Mexes lately. Maybe thats a good thing.

i think we should sell thuram as he would give us cash to buy maybe 2 defenders. as great as he is, at his age, a good offer from the likes of real madrid would be the way to go.

i think Trabelsi is the best option also. he is the about the same age as oddo. oddo has dropped off lately but obviously is a good player also. As for Bonera, i see him only as a centre back. i dont mind trying to develop him as 3rd or 4th CB choice.

Also, it depends on what formation we decide to play. the current formation obviously suits oddo and trabelsi to a tee. we need that offensive right back type. But we could get away with bonera at right back if we play the normal 4-4-2 where he doesnt have to attack as much.

what other options are there?

BTW, does anyone recall Moggi striking a deal with Bologna over Zaccardo? remember when fresi joined them, i think it was in the contract that juve would get first option on Zaccardo?

anyway, i wouldnt mind having him as back up to Trabelsi.

Per plays Left Center Defense. You're right, Prandelli doesn't use a 3-man defense. Mine was an example if we played a 3-man D.

Hmmm, I thought that Per could play at right back as well. So, I say buy Ferrari, Mexes, and Per Kroldrup for new center backs, and bring in Oddo for the RB slot, not Bonera.

wouLD he be expensive
Probably in the range of 8-10 million pounds. Rather expensive for a defender, but he's obvious class already and he's very young.

You see, that's exactly my point, Hinkel is a proven defender. He has good experience in the Champion's League and he plays for the German NT.

Just get Oddo, Bonera and Ferrari + one of Mexes or Lequi!
Here my two back-lines for next season-->

Oddo---Thuram---Ferrari---Zambrotta

Bonera---Lequi---Legrottaglie---Birindelli + Ferrara

Maybe we could get Mexes, but than it would be a pitty to let one of Ferrari or Mexes on the bench! Jankulovski, if he comes, could also play in the left-back position!

hinkel would be great, but we aint gonna get him....bonera, **** off, waste of time and money....solution??

evra...class leftback, with bags of pace, skill and defensive qualities, im sure ian / tom have wnated him for over 2years??

Then switch rambo to right back, problem solved....easier to get evra thn hinkel, plus evra is french, will fit right in with giuly, rothen, mexes,squilacci....wooow im starting to dream :groan:

in order of preference:

hinkel
trabelsi
evra

any of the three and i'm happy.but hinkel is obviously the best choice and imo he'd be cheaper than ian thought if bayern doesn't bid for him, around 6-8m.

If Trabelsi can go for free, then we should get him... And we should sell Thuram anyway...

btw, Rothen said that he would follow Deschamps to Juve... Sounds great, doesn't it?!

Doesn't Evra play left-back?

Hinkel would be nice, but how about Kompany. I know he is very young (18) but he is good. Unfortunately Roman (The market spoiler) tried to bid for him once, so this might bring up his price. But I will say still within the range of 6-7m
