This is crazy and an insult
to any fan of the Che to say that Roman
is better then Aimar.....

I understand people saying Baggio is better then Aimar

because these people live in the past......
But Riquelme
you might as well come saying Gazza is the best.........

Please don't, I am the one who should be feeling sorry for you, that you know so little about the greatest position in the game.

 ok....u keep telling urself that VDS is the greatest.....

i dont think this is debateable anymore,
Me + most people in the world (except maybe some of the dutch population) say that VDR isn't the greatest....

u can say that he's a god for all i care....it still dont make it right

Funny how you (and many of us) would consider the best central defence to be Cannavaro and Nesta, plus the best goalkeeper to be Buffon.

I find it astounding how poorly Italy have defended in recent memory with this backbone to the team.

I would tend to agree with oyur assessment, I don't think that any of them are the best in their positions, nor are they the best together.

I have thought Buffon to be the best, but its worrying he is not the best on crosses. However its still hard for me to think of a goalie better than Buffon.

As for the centre backs, I think Cannavaro when he's on form is the best in his position, but well, he's not on his best form. As for nesta, although he can be very good, IMO he is not worthy of a place in say an allstar eleven, as there are better centre backs than him IMO.

And as a team, they seem pretty hopeless together which is strange for two players of such quality...

I've never really got the hype about Nesta or Cannavarro. To me, there are many better center backs.

Than nesta..yes, but IMO Canna is amongst the best..but as I said, form is very important..and currently, none is near the top of the list.
