Thought he had a decent first half apart from giving the ball away easily in a challenge which led to a break. Second half he struggled a bit but looked shattered, which would make sense if he has been out for a while and not used to senior football.

Has Motta watched Barbieri this season more than Tuz experds? Which is probably zero.
haha i only followed him on sofascore, didn't see a single minute of him. based on sofascore he is the new caceres: one week he was a left back in a 4 man backline, next week he played on the other flank as a wingback, then back to the left as a midfielder, fullback in a 5 man defense, he played every position in either sides of the pitch. he's winning a lot of ground duels based on the match reports, and shoots a lot for a defender. pretty shit passing accuracy though. i have no idea why he would be so special, but if he is, then good for us, we have a new fullback, hallelujah

“Juventus will need to carefully evaluate Tommaso #Barbieri this summer. The player has the skill set to be very effective in Thiago Motta’s side” (@romeoagresti /YT)
All this sudden hype and rumors about Barbieri can only mean two things, either Agresti is friend with his agent/entourage and is trying to raise his stock or it might really be a case in which Motta had followed him last season(perhaps as a potential target for Bologna) and requested to evaluate him first hand before the club decides to sell or loan him on.

Barbieri could at least be a squad player for Juve, I’m confident in that. Seems other clubs like him as well though, including ones that we wanna shop from, like Bologna. Could use him to get someone, but I’d rather just keep him for depth. We need fullbacks.

In that case i guess he could potentially even be used a bargaining chip to Bologna for a discount on Califiori, at which point few would complain.
