He seems like a good fit for Allegri with his defensive ability. I think I’ve mentioned it before but he reminds me of young de sciglio. Our youth system might actually be elite.

at this point, relying on youth is not a choice, but a necessity.
This should've always been the method. You have your starting 11, you have 6-8 good players behind them to rotate/rest/etc, and the rest is promising youth and young players who can eat up minutes at the end of matches, play in Coppa, rotate against the worst sides in Serie A, etc.

There is zero reason the back 4-6 players on your roster should be making 1-3m in wages annually. Rugani and MDS should not be here. Their spots should be 18 or 19 year old up-and-coming CB/FBs who also plays in our Next Gen side regularly. Miretti and Fagioli are exactly that in midfield but only starting this year. It should've been that way the last ten years. We would've saved so much in wages and perhaps actually developed some talent.
