Barcelona Set Eyes On Juventus Midfielder Tiago

With Atletico Madrid still intent on making Tiago’s loan move from Juventus a permanent one, it seems they could soon experience some competition from Barcelona, according to Tuttomercatoweb.

As the Madrid outfit look to drag down the Bianconeri’s €6m asking price for the Portuguese midfielder, the Catalan giants are monitoring the situation with a view to intervene later in the day.

While it seems unlikely that the Blaugrana will soon be making any official offers for the Juventus midfielder, it seems his positive showing at this summer’s World Cup clearly hasn’t gone unnoticed.

I know and I still don't buy it, take your Juventus goggles off and look at it logically, this guy was great for Chelsea and lyon and has been great for his National team and just recently in the World Cup.

He was also great for Athletico on loan so it is clear that he is a good player and his two seasons with us were just down to him being unable to settle in Serie A.

We may call him the "ballerina" and it was deserved but he was never wanted by Ranieri which destroyed his confidence and asked to play in a role unnatural to him.

Don't get me wrong I want him gone too but Tiago for me still has alot to offer so im really suprised no team from Portugal, France or England have not made enquiries.

Players are bought and sold more on reputation than actual skill in these parts, everybody thinks Tiago is shit, becuase since he got here, he's been shit.

He's Worth at least 8.5-9M though for a Portugese NT starter.

Im not saying we should hold out for that 8 or 9m Im just don't think we should concede to Athletico's demands as im sure if we hold out a decent offer will come in from another club.

Hes worth more than 5.5m and I would be happy with 7m.

Tiago is worth 7-9m now but there is something everybody seem to forget. we are unable to offload players because of our high salaries not our asking price.

Ataltico will pay 7 if he cut his wages or they will demand a lower price. that's why they offered 5.5.

we are in a difficult position either we cut the asking price or we try to convince tiago to cut his wages.

and this scenario will go for any player we want to offload.
