Tiago was maybe one of the best Portugal players but it don`t say anything, because whole Portugal squad (where wasn`t some of the starplayers) was terrible. Tiago was outplayed by Estonian players who play at Norwegian first division and local Estonian league. It`s fact. I specially watched him and I really can`t understand what is so special about him. Raul Meirelles made in 20 minutes more than Tiago in whole game.

Oh yeah, result was 0-0.

There's something I don't understand on these forums. We blame the coach for our poor results and our bad team chemistry and performances, he gets fired we still ban the same players that we all agreed couldnt do well in a 4 4 2 especially tiago. Come on, it is obvious you guys hate the guy for the sake of hating him now, wise thing is to give him at least a shot in a diamond formation (not a starter of course). Ranieri never allowed tiago to play to his full potential at juventus, it's a fact.

I'm just defending the player, I watched the game and he wasn't bad at all, definetly didnt get "owned" by estonian players. The whole portugal team sucked in the match, and tiago was one of the better players out of all the team.

You are just really a band wagon kind a guy, you are affraid that if you say he did ok, you'll be harrassed by the experienced and cool members. It's ok though, there's a lot of people like you on juventuz.

You might have a point there, I just feel like the player is always criticised no matter what, you might give him praise but most people over here don't. Even though they were whining about how our midfield was useless under ranieri, where tiago was played in a position he isn't renown for.

Ranieri is gone now we have to assess the players that can really function in a diamond formation and tiago has proved to be very effective in such formation, he could prove to be a good turnover sub player for us next year.

This year Tiago had the chance to play in a place and a role he could deliver, but still has failed to impress...

He has lost all ambition/determination and i believe only changing team could bring him back now!!

With Ciro, a new formation and some new players, we might actually feel like a new team and give him one more chance, he might not deserve to take...
