Tiago isn't much of a replacement for quaresma, doesn't he play as a winger?
Look. It's Porto we're talking about here. They made a billion Euros off of transfers to Chelsea after they won the Champions League (Carvalho, Ferreira, Mourinho, plus selling Deco, etc...), and all they could afford in return were mostly hacks.

his actions have no way of becoming heroic maybe redeeming at best but besides his complete aversion to running and fighting for the ball the only thing he's shown so far is despicable impudence to the club and fans, wo0uldnt surprise me if he got a "soap" beating from his teammates a la full metal jacket
Tiago is basically torpedoing his own professional career now. No nobody will want to touch the guy. He's f*'ing himself over as well.

Now Atletico is interested in him again according to C4, but I suppose it's just another BS rumour. He really annoys me, why the hell he can't leave us, is he paid really that much or what?

If I somehow were under contract at Juve, I wouldn't leave either :p. The guy has a nice salary and "plays" for one of the best clubs in the world. He's at an age were normally footballers are at their peek and he doesn't want to make a huge stepdown to let's say Everton with all due respect after playing for Chelsea, Lyon and Juve. I think he's looking for a team in a top competition who play CL regulary and Atletico is like the only club with that status who are interested in him, so I guess this should be the club for him.

He may be heading to AS Monaco with Alvaro Recoba according to Flavio Roma. :xfinger:
Monaco 'sign Recoba and Tiago'? Channel 4

Wednesday 27 August, 2008

Jeremy Menez has flown out to pen his Roma contract, but a shock source announces “Monaco have signed Alvaro Recoba and Tiago Mendes!”
It has been confirmed by his agent that 21-year-old Menez has agreed a deal with the Giallorossi and he flew out this evening to complete the process.

He stayed for a few minutes at our training session this afternoon, but the deal is done and he has left for Rome,” Coach Ricardo told the Afp news agency.

While there is little doubt over that story, a new rumour has emerged that Monaco are bringing in two faces from Serie A.

Up until now, Monaco’s transfer policy has mainly been in sales, but I know we are getting some important buys over the next few days,” goalkeeper Flavio Roma told a radio station.

I was told this morning that the club has signed Recoba and practically sealed a deal for Tiago, too.”

The Italian international shot-stopper is a curious ‘mole’ at Monaco and his announcement caused shockwaves.

Recoba is out of contract after his loan spell with Torino expired and his deal with Inter went with it, so a move to Ligue 1 is entirely plausible.

Juventus are eager to be rid of Tiago, as they cannot sign a new midfielder until he is sold following a disappointing season.

He caused consternation when rejecting a transfer to Everton last week and was rumoured to be close to Atletico Madrid, but these statements suggest Monaco is his next step.

It would be a return to the country for Portuguese star Tiago, who joined Juve from Olympique Lyonnais last year for £8m.

Yeah lets drink and get wasted, hell why don't we throw a gay party that goes by the name lampard, just because tiago might leave.

Tiago hasn't lived up to his potential here, but there's a lot of players in our squad who hasn't as well, and they don't get half as much crap as this. Let us just wish him the best.
