Drogba didnt score but assisted everything they did, and was fundenmental for them despite lacking scoring touch quite a bit. He was still very useful and good player, not a top one then. To say he was worse then Tiago's atrocious season for is a bizzare joke. Tiago has been TERRIBLE. Drogba at his worst was from from that. Their attack fed off him in one twos an he hold up their entire attack even if he didnt score.

Tiago at his best was role player and a mediocre overall player, why the fuck should we keep him when he is at his worst. Has been beyond useless.

I know, exactly. Look at Drogba for example at Chelsea in his first year he was absolute rubbish, worst than Tiago's first season here. It took him a while to adapt if we keep Tiago, we'll see the real Tiago next year for sure.
I was thinkin the exact same thing excpet more in comparison with ballack at chelsea.

I really do hope we keep him for at least one more year to see if he does develop into the player he can be.

Some on here (and our board) are so quick to write him off when the fact is that most players take time to settle in. so if ppl get off his back & maybe give him some positive words then maybe he'll show up. & if he doesn't then sell him in jan or next summer.

He seems very much a confidence player and needs support & a good run of games. i know he had a run of games at the start of the season but he needed one later in the season as weel IMO. He is not like almiron who has been playing in italy for a number of years. he's new here...give the boy a chance

you guys are doing an unfair comparison.

First of all Drogba and Ballack were great players who were excelling before they joined Chelsea. Them having a bad season does not take away from their quality, and it showed in the following seasons.

Tiago on the other hand was a decent player at his best before he came to Juve. nothing compared to the 2 world class players in Drogba and Ballack.

point noted...but it wasn't meant to be a direct reference in terms of quality but more that players no matter how great do struggle sometimes when they switch leagues

Agreed. Though I think it's best for both Juve and Tiago to part ways. I doubt even a Tiago who is fully adapted would be the answer to our midfield.

Personally I am more for a player like Lucho, Ballack, Iniesta, type of players to partner Sissoko in the midfield.

i would never claim for him to be the answer....cuz he is far from. We are in a great need for quality in our midfield especially seeing that we're fightin on 3 fronts next season.

I think what MAYBE a good position for him is a more xabi alonso type role (unless we actually get xabi alonso) in terms of sitting deep and starting the attack making passes. cuz i would rate his defensive work almost ah high as momo's but he def has mor techinical ability which can come in handy in europe

just my opinion

Today was one of couple good games he has this entire season. So no sense saying he was unimpressive. But he in overall he has been BEYOND unimpressive.
