I kinda hope Tiago stays. Given proper time and a proper chance he'll find his form. Unfortunately for him he came in expected to be it all; which is not wrong to expect given that we're rebuilding.

na dude i dont know who expected him to be the mvp of serie A but i know for sure that most juve fans didn't. yes its normal for fans to expect something being that we paid this guy alot of money and he ended up being our biggest signing in the off season.

if anything, everyone was wondering if trez would bounce back after the horrible season he had last year in B.

Tiago was never a player who could light a midfield up. at his peak he is average.. at best, not a liability.

He is overrated and not worth what we paid for or expected of him.

He would be ok to have in the squad sure .. but we can't afford to keep such expensive players and not play them. The Tiago lovers would make you think he is Zidane sitting on the bench.

We need a player like him, who isn't defensive for our midfield. I won't give up on him because I said so, but we definitely need a player like him for the center of midfield.

not like him. better than him... and not necessarily our center...

VdV----Zanetti---Sissoko/Noce---Camo

How are players getting their wages ? Only during the season or they're getting payed for all 52 weeks in the year ?

Because if it's for all 52 weeks and if Tottenham offered him 35 000 British pounds per week then his yearly wages will be 1.8m pounds which is the same as 2.4 million EURO and that's almost the same he's getting with us (he's gettimg 2.5m eur with us)
Why did he reject this deal ?
He loves us :scarf:

we will. but the thing is right now we don't really need one. right now we need to worry about our defense. we will start worrying about CL in the summer. that when key signings will be mad i guarantee it.

I think, its his manager's fault, he wants a better deal and probably a bigger cut from himself...
i dont think we will easily find another victim, to pay the same sum, soon enough...

Tiago is holding Juve hostage, we can only make a big move if we have the cash from his transfer. I think we lack the cash to do so without the millions from his move out of here.

Tiago Rejected Spurs For Atletico Madrid - Report

According to Marca, Tiago Mendes’ refusal to return to the Premiership was the reason for his collapsed move to Tottenham Hotspur, with the player desperate to sign for Atletico Madrid instead.

The Portuguese international is certain to leave Juventus before the end of the month following a disastrous six months in Turin.

Tiago, who signed for the Bianconeri in the summer from Lyon for €13m, was all set to move on again to Spurs after a fee for the player was agreed.

It was revealed yesterday that the transfer to White Hart Lane had collapsed at the last minute, with many assuming that this was down to personal terms.

However Marca claims that the real reason is Tiago’s refusal to return to the English Premiership.

The 26-year-old had a largely unsuccessful season spent there with Chelsea in 2004/05, where despite winning a league championship, and a league cup, he never truly demonstrated his best form.

Tiago believes that he is better suited to the Spanish championship, and has told his representatives and Juventus that he only wants to move to Atletico Madrid.

With the transfer deadline fast approaching, Juve will now have no option but to negotiate a sale to the Rojiblancos, who would like to originally obtain the player on loan until the end of the season, with an opportunity to then make the move permanent.

Atletico are keen to snap up a centre-midfielder following the sale of Nuno Maniche to Inter Milan last week.

Pff, nobody here is alledging that.

But it just goes to show how eager people are to throw away players instead of giving them time to settle.

And again, Tiago wasn't bad in the first two starts he was given, but people don't want to admit that. Fine.
