Ranieri is just playing it safe , a little too safe . If it wasn't for Del piero , we wouldn't have created one decent chance the entire game . It's not right for a team to depend on one player for creativity , and depending on a player that's way past his prime is much worse . Del piero and Nedved can only do so much at their age .

what annoys me is that he plays the exact same formation every single game yet they call him "the tinkerman " . I'm beggining to think it's one of those pet names like calling a 300 pound fatass tiny or something like that .

where do find these people ? Capello , Ranieri ? It's like we look for narrow minded coaches that like defend .

the difference is Capello is a winner .

that comment from Ranieri about Sissoko and Tiago was just disappointing tbh.

what was he thinking, its not like sissoko is that great player. He is average and i would take zanetti or nocerino over him any day.

Tiago was brought to add another option to the midfield and he is a different player than sissoko.

I think that if he doesn't play, the only way we can keep him is bringing in Mourinho. Or else he will follow Jose to whichever club he chooses. But as you say, it is a waste of a talent so far, sell him off and make Claudio blush.
Jose got rid of Tiago after constant row with him..He was exchanged for Essien..So Jose would not want him anyway..

The reason Ranieri doesn't wanna risk benching one of Zanetti and Nocerino is because he can't trust our back 4 enough, that's why we gotta get a quality CB in January.

PS who knows maybe Andrade will do great :xfinger:
I agree with you on this. Also I think Ranieri originally planed to play 4 3 3 but cos of our back 4 as you mention he has no other choice but to play this formation with 2 DM

I really don't want to get into any arguments where i will have to play down the efforts and success of our legend Deschamps.
I'm not attacking Deschamps, i'm only defending the one who was (undeservedly) attacked.

Come on Andy. If you're using this argument then you should also mention that Deschamps, who according to you is >>>>>>>>>>> Ranieri, lost against Mantova and Brescia and couldn't beat Rimini (twice), Albinoleffe, Arezzo, Spezia, Vicenza, Cesena etc.
And if we compare the starting line-up Deschamps had with Ranieri's starting line-up you'll see that the only changes are Legro for Boumsong, Molinaro for Balzaretti and Nocerino for Paro/Marchisio. It's almost the same team, with bigger squad depth that Ranieri has.

Perhaps we can attack Ranieri for the mercato but not for the way he leads the team we have. I can't know this but still i'm pretty sure that no other coach would have done better than this with this team.

You started disliking him only because he's not giving Tiago a chance because i really don't see another reason why would you underestimate what he has done with the limited quality at his disposal ?!

Ranieri adds to Tiago turmoil Tuesday 11 December, 2007

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Tiago Mendes is increasingly likely to leave Juventus in January after Claudio Ranieri admitted he bought him as a second choice.

The former Chelsea midfielder joined the Old Lady from Lyon for nearly £9m, but he has made just two Serie A starts all season.

After acting as an injury-time substitute against Atalanta last weekend, Ranieri revealed that he hadn’t set out with the intention of signing Tiago this summer.

“We were thrown into buying him when we were told that we would have to spend £23m on Mohamed Sissoko,” the Juve boss surprisingly declared.

“I brought him on against Atalanta to hold up the ball and he did well.

“I want both Tiago and Sergio Almiron, nobody is left out in the cold, but Antonio Nocerino and Cristiano Zanetti are playing very well and I play whoever gives me the best chance of winning.”

A number of sides are reportedly watching Tiago, but it is believed that French underachievers PSG are showing the most active interest

i re-read that article and its really gonna sting tiago and add to whatever drama he's going through.
i never thought that Coach would have said something so..well for the want of a word overwhelming about a player who's still in the squad...wow.

on the other hand maybe its another tactic or strategy to pressure him to leave??

Dude you seemingly keep churning out the bullshit. Mourinho never had a "row" with Tiago. Jose even said that letting Tiago go after getting Essien was a big mistake.
