Tiago had a pretty good first half but he went down with the whole team in the second half. Barring Buffon and Chiellini we didn't have one player on our side in the second half so it's really meaningless to put the blame merely on Tiago. I'm not sure if the red card was deserved but the thing I'm sure about is that Tiago wouldn't do that tackle on Balotelli if he was as apathetic as what some people think he is. Camo and Nedved have had such dumb reactions before which were easily overlooked (and even praised) by people here so what's the difference now?

Tiago is an average player, he's given enough chance to prove himself but the only thing he has proved so far is that we'd wasted our money on him. That said I still believe that the flow against him on this forum is way too unfair. He's unjustly being criticized which is getting more and more annoying.

Go and find the right people if you want to blame someone.

Exactly. Well said.

Tiago proved at other clubs he's an above average player, so this is why I personally believe Ranieri is partly to blame for his destruction, through what he said to the media and his general handling of him.

But you are certainly right in saying that too much blame and nonsense is directed towards this player.

Not like it's anything new. Instead of blaming the real culprits in our horrible results they aim most of their hate towards the midfielder with the best statistical record out of all of our midfielders. It reminds me of how American politics work -- they blame the likes of Bush instead of the real people behind the mess, the mastermind behind our own downfall. Not that I'm comparing Bush to Tiago as I'd take the latter over him any day of the week, but I don't think people really understand what's going on here.

At least statistics show that Tiago has the best record out of all our midfielders, so it debunks those who think Tiago is our worst player. Statistically he is sound.

But I hope he leaves so he can go to a club with less moronic fans.

ah yes the statistics...when they're in your favour, yhey are the be-all and end-all of every debate...but when they are against your point, then fuck 'em!

I'm just providing people the facts. If people use statistics to prove a point, then all statistics need to be provided and cited for fair evaluation.

I'm sorry that that's the case, but that's just the fact of the matter. Probability theory shows us that starting Tiago provides the best results.

Sorry.

I just know we need a more creative player on our team. Tiago is certainly not that player even if Ranieri had treated him better.

But even tonight, he played better than Poulsen. The Dane lost almost every ball in the midfield, couldn't destroy, couldn't create, couldn't stop Inter attacks and couldn't lead ours.

this is the biggest problem.we paid 13 fucking million euros for an above average player.(he was a champion according to cobollo giggle)

that secco guy owes us that money.he should pay it by cleaning our training center for free.
Indeed, blame the management for the transfer fee and wages, not the player.

These people are to blame far more than Tiago.
