Thuram is one of my all time favorite defender so I won't say too bad things about him. In his prime, I say he was undoubted best defender of the world. If I remember correctly he had 3 or 4 years where he didnt receive a single yellow card. That is just unbelievable for Serie A defender, and unheard of. I always say with Thuram yellow cards are single best indicator of how he is playing, because he is defender who positions himself to win balls rather than putting in touch tackles like Canna.

But even I have to admit, he may have burnt the bridge with some unwise, but truly honest comments. But I say he said those things, because he gave his all to the club on the pitch, and he truly felt betrayed by those who run the club, which is the case if Moggi & Co. did fix some matches. Thuram must have felt that was the case, and had let his stress out. My regret is that he should have aimed those view directly to the directors, not to the club or fans. But I wouldnt mind having Thuram in the team if he is really dedicated to do his best. Class is permanent and if Billy Costacourta can play until he is grandpa, Thuram who is superior reader of the game can play till he is great grandpa. In anycase, he would be wonderful mentor to young Mimo Criscito. There is nobody better to learn off the trade than Thuram other than Maldini IMO.

i dont see the need for him as a player. At his age, he is well in decline and wouldnt help our defence. His experience would help our younger defenders such as Chiellini and Criscito, but having Thuram on the field would be more of negative than positive.

In addition, he bagged the club after we got relegated, probably the worst out of every player who fled. As far as I am concerned, every player who fled the club at its hardest time should not be contacted because they are all a bunch of c*nts!

Barca have a massive squad full of many good players, surely we can lure one our way.

 I totally agree. Thuram was so good that I could even forget about his bad words.

My favourite all-time defender.

Thuram was one of our greatest players... and as far as I am informed, he talked bad of Juve after leaving, becouse he was FORCED to leave. Zambrota was the deal, but it had to be bought by Barca with THuram included...
SO have peace with our histroy, I am sure that he does not want to come back, after being thrown out... So keep those bad words for yourslef...

So what if Emerson talked nice about Juve after leaving... he says now that he plays for the "greatest club in the world" (milan)... and Zlatan admited that Juve spirit is better than Inter's...

So dont judge them about what they say...judge their effort for Juve...and Thuram's calm-ness was crucial for the whole team.

Thuram is still a very good defender. He was good for Barcelona last year. I would love to have a WC player added to our squad. I would prefer Cannavaro, but Thuram would be an improvement as well.

You honestly think he was good?

He made a ton of mistakes. Bad positioning, looking slow, not tackling well etc.

With all due respect for Thuram, I don't think he is good enough to cut it at one of Europe's best teams.

No he was good... it was a new team and he had to cover for a non-defensive back line. He would shine in Italy again... slower pace, more organized and more defensive. He is better than Andrade, Criscito, Chiellini, Grygera, Boumsong, Legrottaglie and Molinaro. Why not.

He was no good at Barcelona, and of course defenders look worse when they play in that god forsaken team. But he wasn't good.
