After returning from Glasgow in the early hours of the morning, Antonio Conte gathered his squad in Vinovo this afternoon to commence preparations for Saturday’s championship clash with Roma in the capital.
With Tuesday night’s 3-0 victory at Celtic Park all but confirming a spot in this year’s Champions League quarter-finals, Juventus will aim to seize the moment by following up back-to-back Serie A wins over Chievo and Fiorentina with a success at the Stadio Olimpico.
But new Roma coach Aurelio Andreazzoli, who recently replaced Zdenek Zeman in the Giallorossi dugout, will be calling on his charges to register their first home victory of his tenure after seeing his reign get off to a slow start with last Sunday’s 3-1 defeat against Sampdoria.
And with the prospect of a potentially rejuvenated Roma in mind, Conte welcomed his players back to the training ground for a mixed workout.
Those who featured in yesterday evening’s last 16 first leg triumph in Scotland underwent a warm-down, while it was business as usual for the remainder of the squad.
The Bianconeri will continue to shape Saturday night’s battle plan when they regroup at Juventus Center tomorrow afternoon.
