hay ... hay ... Stripper ...

hold on .... hold on ...

You are mixing honey with onion and going here and there
mixing several different topics togither only to approve your wrong idea to the other members

- our subject here is world cup and Sami appearance in this great
tournement .

which sami has appeared on this tournemt 4 times , No arabic, asian or Afriacn palyer has done this beofre .

Regradless the results ,,, to reach this tournemt in 4 time in row, this is somthing remarkable .

Do you have a problem to understand this ???

However , you said that the saudi leage is the most expensive leage in the gulf area ... this is totaly false and worng info
see the Qatari and the Emarati leages they are much more expensive

Sami is pouplar in the Arab world, last year he won a fine troofy
from the Egyptian famous estaplishment Al-Ihram in the Arab world level .

I hope you get the Idea of this subject

thank u rami for compaing Sami with those legands .

Here in Asia & Africa,no body ... no body ... Has acheved similer to
what Sami acheved during his career beside that his achevment is not for him self oonly its for us also as an arabs or Saudis ..

for that reason we put his name with the legands I mentioned
Not to cpmare him with them as you think , but , to till you guys that
There is an arab palyer has done what they have done

Sami gained a uniqe rank in Asia and Africa , this is the troth
which we have to admitt

also , his goals are recorded in the wolrd cup records and history wethier thery are a penalty kicks or even by his hand
First of all welcome to the forums...sorry I forgot:devil:

I DID NOT compare Sami with all those players, on the contrary (3ala al3aks:p) I was saying that I could not even contemplate comparing him or any Saudi player with those legends...Actually there are lots of players that I think are better and/or acheived more: Madger, Majid Abdullah, Trabulsi, Naybet to name a few. I did not believe it when Sami was announced the best Arab player while Al-Naybet led super depor to win the La Liga and the semi finals of the CL a few years back. Sami is a good player but not GREAT!! He is over-rated! much like the Saudi version of ********* (Don't really wanna derail this thread and turn it into a ******** thread:p)
and yes his goals are recorded but in no way they could be really an argument for his greatness!!

Dear

how come Sami is average player where as

sami played in 4 world cups 94 - 98 -2002 and 2006
only Maradonna , matheas , Gird moller and Sami managed to do this

sami scored goals in 2 world cups so far in 94 and 98
what about Maldini !!!! 90-94-98-2002

talking about Sami El-Jaber.....yes, he's a good striker and played in the world cup 3 times till now.....BUT IMO he's a very average player........he played in 3 world cups maybe cos Saudi Arabia doesn't have any good strikers beside him...!!!

can anyone name one striker that really shined in this period beside Sami !!!!!!

If we are talking about the best players in the Arab world now...there are lots of names....

Abu-Treika, Emad Met'eb, Mohamed Barakat (Egypt)
Tarek El-Tayeb (Lybia)
Gwad Zairi (Morocco)

and many more that i can't remember now.....

and in The Asian world there is Ali Karimi who's IMO better than Sami

Sami is a legend to Saudi people.....but outside Saudi he's a very normal player IMO.....that's a personal opinion

plus talking about Saudi Arabia playing 4 times in World Cup....that's because the Asian groups are already weak.....you were playing against Kuwait and Ozbakiztan (or whatever it's name was) and South Korea.....so,please, if you didn't qualify from this group, then you quit playing football ....!!! got what i mean !!!

just put Saudi Arabia in any group in Africa and you won't qualify to the World Cup ever again

Sami Al Jaber is like Ali Daei IMO.. Ageing, slow, useless (now anyways), and holding on to undeserved reputations of being great..

but again, that's just my opinion.. :p

what about owairan (or smthg like that)?

I remember him from WC '94 in the USA. He dribbled like 5 or 6 belgian players and scored. Saudi Arabia won the match 1-0 :wallbang:

    yes dear Geof

Saeed Owiaran is one of our good players
but his mentality and bahviors destoyed his career after 94
He became club-less in 1995 then retired football officialy in 1998

where was sami as KSA lost 8-0 to germany...
this question leads us to another question

where was zeller when hungarians smashed germay 8 - 3 in world cup
    54 or 58

    see ...

such big results are very often happened in world cup,but the good team is the team who can go over it

do not count south korea as a good team. i know they came fourth in the last wc, but u seem 2 forget how they got there. the referees in the italy and spain game will never be in charge of another world cup game. either they both were retards or some cheating was going on.
i live in lebanon and i went 2 see the lebanon vs s.korea wc qualifying game, i admit we have a very $hit national team, we lost 2 the u17 german football team 7-0, and we dominated korea and all they could get out of us was a draw. football becomes harder when u forget to fix the match.

now..you excuse me...Senegal qualified to the quarter final in 2002 (u didn't do that ever)....Cameroon did the same in 1990......and once again all that u ever achieved was the last 16 in 1994 and Japan the same in 2002..

about south korea....do you actually believe they deserved their place in the semi final !!! we all know how they passed italy and spain !!
