These days, Thiago Motta is in Cascais, Portugal, surrounded by his family. But the phone has already started ringing: first exploratory contacts with foreign clubs. Among the most concrete hypotheses for his future are Atalanta (who are evaluating his name together with Sarri's for the post-Gasperini) but also Tottenham (Thiago remains among the alternatives immediately after Iraola). Juventus is watching with interest: a new assignment for the former coach would mean freeing up precious resources, lightening the budget by €15M. [TuttoSport]

Even now we're only 12 points off first place.

If this guy hadn't been so bamboozled by the entire gig we would have walked the scudetto this year. Everybody is slipping on banana peels
So you’re saying if we ran a bit more and helped our friends, we could have turned the jeers into cheers? I wish Tudor succeeds in turning his Juve into a solid chameleon.

Quick question. When did y'all begin to realise that it was going wrong...
in november those 4 consecutive draws against milan, villa, lecce, bologna were alarming. i'm a patient guy so i wouldn't have fired motta back then

the back to back losses to napoli and benfica in january, then the psv loss, empoli coppa fiasco, then obviously the double spanking by atalanta and fiorentina made it crystal clear that motta can't finish the season though. that was a proper crisis from the end of february

I think it was that late October-November period. Constant draws against shit teams. Dire, stale, lifeless and impotent football. No signs of him changing anything. Always the same 4-2-3-1, with the same lineups, same tactics, same insistence on Koopmeiners even when he wa sucking major balls.

It was 100% confirmed for me he needed to go after the Supercoppa loss against Milan. The team looked completely lost and it seemed clear to me they weren’t following him anymore.

And yes I know there was 1–2 decent wins against good teams along the way (against City and Inter in particular) but in both games we were extremely lucky to come away unscathed. He was awful.
