Motta : “You have to run and always commit, even in training. It’s not technical or tactical problems at Juventus , but the attitude. There are some players who demand everything without giving. From a different attitude now we will have to start again”.

Unpopular opinion probably, but is this motherfucker actually referring to Thuram? He benched him and yes it is sometimes visible that Khepren is too slow with his defensive actions, when Locatelli comes in he commits much more in defence.

There's an easy solution, play him with Locatelli. They were building up a decent partnership until Motta decided to split it up.

Locatelli can do the defensive side freeing up Thuram. It plays to both of their strengths and minimises the weaknesses.

Yeah that's the best solution, but he would have to bench his poop then

All this talk and motivation means nothing when the coach cannot find any solution because he's too stubborn. The Empoli game was the PSV humiliation repeated. He learnt nothing.

Vlahovic acting like a diva is good, he demands to play. He should ask why Poopminers starts despite literally zero contribution.

This squad might not be top quality, but it's versatile and we have some few bright sparks. Vlahovic is best as a tap in guy, he needs to be in a 4-3-3 where he receives the ball in the box. We don't play to his strengths. If not, play Yildiz as SS or Muani beside him in a 4-4-2. Yildiz is not a winger, it's not his skillset. McKennie DM and brings the ball out, Locatelli further forward so he doesn't have to defend so deep.

It all depends on if Motta can swallow his pride and work with the team or not. I doubt he has the team's backing and I'd rather we ship him off before selling the misfits.

Also, just remember our winter mercato and how we desperately got in shit and immediately injured players. We'd be nowhere without Vlahovic, McKennie, and Mbangula.

I wish I shared your optimism that this would be true. If we scrape 4th place I get the feeling he will remain.

Whilst some stability is desperately needed, (fairly new directors, a host of new players with limited experience at a big club and a new inexperienced manager) the fact remains that some personalities are just optically and culturally not a good fit for certain clubs.
I feel that applies to Sarri and Motta in this case with Juventus.
Allegri won the Coppa and we finished fourth with him last season too.

Motta’s result have been absolutely substandard and the worst we’ve had since Delneri. I don’t see any path to him staying beyond this season (unless we win the Scudetto lmao)

Ofc he also said the same about Allegri, but I think Motta keeps his place if we will play quite good and get CL
We’ll never play good with Motta because he uses the players differently and that works for a club who is fighting maybe up to 5th place. Bologna is having similar season with their new coach also.

All bridges with the players are burned and it’s now even noticeable. He is a grooner and I think tbh that he’ll resign the next negative result.
