It was pretty obvious we were heading for a collapse even when we were still "good"

We kept ignoring key areas like the midfield and couldn't control a game to save our lives except we had a few world class oldies left to carry us in the league.

However this wasn't enough in the CL. We were allergic to modern football. Unfortunately we don't have the money to replace world class players and we've shown time and time again we fucking suck at finding talents.

Eventually when all of our top players left or retired we had too many gaps to fill.

Unless football changes with a whole new wave of restrictions (it wont) I highly doubt we'll ever be a top 4 or even 8 team in Europe again barring the occasional fluke CL run.

We're in the wrong league. Serie A lost the arms race.

Glad I didn't watch this shit, never expected us to win anyway. We cannot beat Feyenoord with Motta as our manager let alone Arsenal or Inter. He has to go now. There is enough talent to beat Benfica and keep a clean sheet. With back to back losses, it won't improve with Motta here.

The real question is, is the squad really this bad or is this guy's tactic the real issue?

Are really Koop, Dusan and Luiz really that average players?
Imo no coach would be shining under this shit team. Seriously, more than half of our players are bench material at most.

I'm not even defending Motta. Guintoli created this mess and we keep buying some silly players. We are Long term fucked.

Come on, this is going nowhere. we look clueless, can’t win matches, apart from Kalu and Thurman all new signings havent integrated after 6 months plus

For me it is the other way around to be honest. I blame Motta more than Giuntoli. We must admit that Giuntoli did get some good deals/players, as well as some good sells. Motta wanted Koop, Toli delivered, Motta wanted Nico, Toli delivered. Motta even wanted to keep Soule, turns out Toli was right to ship his ass and get 30m.

The only downsides of the summer mercato were:

no backup striker, but the Milik's injury also affected this
no RB
selling Huijsen, but to be fair no one expected him to be this good after that shit cameo in Roma
unable to offload Arthur.

But there is no way he could "fix" all in one window. Lets not kid ourselves, we were all fapping on the team and the coach just before the season started. It is not Giuntoli's fault that the best midfield of Seria A last year is flopping in this team. Now though, I dont like Giuntoli's work too. The Danilo situation, the Veiga expensive loan without option, as well as the random RB kid from Portugal are undervelming to say the least.

Bottom line, for me at the moment Motta is the biggest flop, even more so than Koop and Luiz.
