Who is winning the bet? last time a bet happened between Lion and Xperd but nothing came out of it.
Juve needs to win at least 13 games in all comps before the end of the year for me to win. Otherwise @Amer wins.

Right now we have 3 wins out of 5. We have 20 more games remaining this year (14 in Serie A, 5 in the CL and one in the Coppa Italia) , so we need to win 10 games more for me to win the bet.

My view on Motta:
He does well, better than I anticipated. Im not just talking about result but also our defending, our passing game and our style of play. Im sure we can be twice the team in a few months. My only doubts are: Thuram - He isnt terrible but I have yet to see anything from him that says a very good player. Vlahovic - His finishing is worrying tbh (even if he plays well at times).
D.Luiz and Koop when integrated well will make the difference. D.Luiz passing range along with Koop`s smart decisions will allow us to be far more dangerous but this will take a few months.

(On McKennie)
I like Weston, like all other players.
“It was his time to start today. It’s a good result for starting the competition. Now, we must recover for the next game. Weston is part of a strong group.
The important thing is not my decision. This is my duty. I must field the best 11. I am happy for McKennie. Like all the others, he’s working to improve. The important thing is that the team won today.”

(On Dusan)
“I don’t think it’s complicated. Dusan is always in the best condition to work and help the team.
“He didn’t score today, and strikers always want to score. They must have this ambition. He did well in many other things. We can do even more, but I am happy with his work. He must manage the emotional side, thinking there are many things to do on the pitch. Goals will come. The important thing is that he’s involved in the group, giving his best.”

(On where we need to improve)
”I think today, almost during the whole game, we could do better when opponents had possession.
“We did well at times but not during the whole game. We must raise the bar and be more consistent. The result is interesting for us. Now, we must recover and prepare for the next league game. We have an important match on Saturday.”

--------

Haters can suck it on the bold parts.

The underlined parts are excellent to hear coming from the coach. Consistency is the thing that will stop us winning the scudetto this year with what we've seen from this squad, and at the end of the day the result is what matters. This man is not here to play favourites or drop players simply because he doesn't like them.

Loving the signs at the beginning of the Motta era.

He is running a lot and helping his friends. Those jeers will soon turn into applause.

Coach Thiago Motta discusses all things

"It will be a big game against Napoli: we want to confront them well and, playing with seriousness and with responsibility, in front of our fans, try to play our football."
"Gatti is available, the only ones out are Conceicao and Milik: all the others, however, are available and are among those who can aspire to a starting position or to come in during the game."
"Working with Antonio Conte at the 2016 EUROs was really good: we were a good team, we lost against a tough opponent, but my relationship with him has always been very good."
"I don't know if it is an advantage not to play in the continental cups, I only know that this is how things are and that we already knew the calendar before the start of the season. Napoli are built to aim to win the Scudetto, they won it two years ago, expressing a football that was well spoken about all over the world. We have to think about doing well, supported by our fans in tomorrow's match."
"In my notepad I write everything down, just like journalists do [smiles, ed]. About the game: we know we have to be solid tomorrow, think as compactly as possible to prevent their forwards and wide players from having space. We have to play the game that suits us and not them."
"Dusan must have the ambition to always improve, as everyone must do, starting with me. His game together with the team is improving: he is well, he is smiling, helpful and positive. In the last game he created chances for his teammates, I am happy with his work and he must continue on this path."
"I hope the team will be better in everything tomorrow than in our Champions League game: we have to make progress from game to game, we must not remain satisfied."
"I don't think about the option of ‘signing’ to make a career like Conte did at Juve: I don't think that paper exists [laughs, ed]. Tonight I'm lucky enough to be reunited with my wife and my children, who will allow me to make the most of tomorrow's challenge: my satisfaction is to work hard every day, that's all."
"The group is working well and everyone is in a position to take the field: from my point of view there are those who will play tomorrow and those who we will use in the next matches, that's how I see it. We know that the year is so long that we need everyone's contribution. Whether you play one minute, ten or ninety, it doesn't matter: you can always make a difference."
"The facts say that Napoli won a Scudetto a few years ago, and not just winning, but dominating the game in Italy and Europe. They are a strong team and have changed to aim for the top and to win again this season."
"I'll never talk about players from other teams: I know that my players don't come onto the pitch to look for a foul and they know they have to stay on their feet at all times, avoiding dives. In general, with VAR we have extra eyes on dangerous fouls and strong tackles. We are discussing how to improve on time wasting, as well as trying to avoid simulations. People want to see the game, without fouls and without time wasting."
"We are all different, Conte and I are different too: but tomorrow we play Juventus vs Napoli, where the focus will be on the players, on those who take the field giving their all - trying to get us the result as well. Everything else matters very little."
"Everything is possible, even Douglas Luiz and Koopmeiners playing together on the pitch: when you talk about strong players, you can try everything. I was surprised by Daniele De Rossi's dismissal: I sent him a message, which will obviously remain private between us."

Needs to do more. I know that it will take time for his ideas to be understood by the players, but that's all the more reason for him to be direct with them when making subs.

He cannot honestly have thought that switching Dusan with Weah and changing nothing else was smart.

Kids playing FIFA know that's not a good idea. Put weah out wide and Nico in the middle. Really bad coaching and leadership.

vlahovic's penalty was the last league goal we scored at the beginning of the 2nd half against verona. more than 300 minutes without a goal is underwhelming

Look, we know Conte is an expert in defensive setups and he's obviously playing for a 0-0 and has done well to that end.

But we have bit done close to enough to unlock it and create chances. I don't think we've had one. This isn't any one person's fault, but it's Motta's job to solve this puzzle and he's not managed it at all.

Reminds me a bit of Contes first season, so many draws.

Definitely something he has to work out. We need to commit more bodies in the box.
