yeah...sumtin liek that. Waters was getting too dominant and David didnt like that!

i feel The Wall album is overrated! i never really could see what's so great about it. sure it has great songs like In The Flesh, Brick in the wall, young lust but the rest of the album doesnt do much for me... almost seems like fillers! Animals, Wish you were here, DSOTM are so much better!

I don't think it's overrated, I think it's a master piece in every sense of the word. Both the movie and the album are exceptinal IMO. You gotta look at it like an album because that's when it's strongest, played from start to end.

DSOTM is on another level though, probably the best album ever made. As for Animals I have to agree with you, definetly one of my favourite Pink Floyd albums, though that doesn't take anything away from The Wall.

Wish You Were Here is great but behind The Wall IMO, it relies to much on Shine On You Crazy Diamond and the title song.

i guess i missed out on the lyrical content of The Wall, cos i read Waters wrote a lot bout anti-war n stuff like that!

Sheep and Pigs are brilliant!

Why they split up? Waters and Gilmour both thought they were the most important, rivalry between the two was the main reason.
both of them are idiots if that was the reason :disagree:

and I meant who made the music, not who wrote them

like you said I should see the concert first to Judge Gilmour, but the performance I saw in that concert I have, (I will tell you the name later) was awful man.

you like Roger's solos? Amused itself to death, Miracle.. These are great works!!

If you had told me that about 1.5 weeks ago, when I ordered the Led Zeppelin DVD box set which arrived just today :toast: , maybe I could have bought it. This way I think a torrent will sufice. :D

I agree too, I'll never stop hoping that they'll get together in the studio again and write something new. I thought after the Live 8 reunion performance some old sparks would have been reiginited but nothing came out of it... :frown:

I can't say how Gilmour is solo, the PULSE DVD is by Pink Floyd, not just Gilmour. You must check that out.

I never listened to Waters solo, like I said, I somehow always prefered Gilmour and never bothered to check him out. I'll definetly give him a shot soon. As soon as I get over my Eric Claption phase, in which I am stuck for ever 2 months. I didn't listen to anything but Clapton. :D

Amused itself to death
Miracle/or it's a miracle (don't know the name exactly)

these two are must to have, you should have bothered yourself checking before you tell me Gilmour is better :p

I didn't say he was better, I only prefer Gilmour in Pink Floyd, but love it best when they're both there. For what it's worth I didn't even check out Gilmour's solo stuff, only Pink Floyd without Waters. ;)

Everything after The Final Cut album, meaning two stuido albums; A Momentary Lapse Of Reason and The Division Bell plus some live albums; PULSE and Delicate Sound Of Thunder. Both studio albums are fantastic which feature some of my favourite songs like: Sorrow, Learning To Fly, High Hopes, Keep Talking. The Live albums are also excellent. Not much material as all members, including Gilmour, took some breaks and focused on solo stuff during the last 20 years or so.
