the role he plays. i would say Kaka took nedveds place
Hmm, correct me if I'm wrong, but Nedved plays LM for Juventus, and has played it for Lazio and the Czech NT. Dejan is just a cheap imitation of Nedved, except he might be a bit more creative.

well Stankovic plays more central while neddy plays wider. with kaka in front of the strikers you need a LM that stays more central

so you'd take becks in the world's best eleven just because hes a great scorer from the FKs? And, FYI, yes he can miss a freekick. ;)
don't forget the crosses and his passes

Excuse me, I forgot that he has not played yet. But if he did, Chivu would certainly be in there. So substitute Maldini in there then.

Code:
           Sheva Eto'o
              Ronaldinho
Nedved Xavi Robben
Zambrotta Cannavaro Puyol Cafu
               Buffon
I would like to see this
Besides what Graham said above me, I think Puyol and Cannavaro are too similar to be in the same team.

He playes both, and sure i could put Adriano there instead of eto'o.

But the topic says "the best starting XI" and not "who's the best player in every position".

I like one touch football and I love players that are good with the ball at their feet. I think Eto'o can contribute more of that than Adriano.

Stop being so gottam by the book, I just said i would like to see this. Terrorists
