First of all, I want to say how amazed i am that nobody realised the reason or source of my last few avatars. For those who didn't realise (which is pretty much everyone except for Mac), it was a joke, and i wasn't even making them. Emma and i had a bet that she'd stop using this font, and the stakes were the other person's sig and avatar. Funny how nobody (again, except for mac) realised that they were exactly the same style as all of the avatars emma had while she was here. "what's your point, Graham?" my point is that the whole emma ass-kissing thing was yet another example of the bandwagoning that happens around here, where the 'cool attitude to have' changes like fashion between seasons. Come on guys, open your eyes and consider for just a moment that maybe she has/had a point.
i've been weighing up for the past few days whether i should respond to all the bullshit that's been going on for the past couple of weeks, and after talking to Emma for a while, i decided that it'd be best to just keep my mouth shut. I guess it was mainly because my credibility had just gone out the window, maybe even before the whole avatar thing. I'm not afraid of being called an ass-kisser, but I figured that there'd be little point coming out with a statement if my post is just gonna be met with more cries of "why don't you, Don Bes and Emma just get a room".
The main reason for this whole fiasco was that Emma's pics were put up. Now i know this was not done with any malicious intent or foresight of the ensuing crap that would occur, but that's not the point here. People criticised her and said she was just seeking attention without even thinking of the fact that she wasn't even the one who posted the pictures. As for the whole issue of the guys chasing after her, i was impressed by her handling of the situation. At a time when most girls that I know would have pouted as their heads were inflated by all the compliments, she just ignored it and understood that it was just natural male behaviour. Now my question is: if the person in question doesn't give a shit about any of that, why do other people have to make it their business?
Girls of juventuz: I'll be dead honest with you; i think most of you were jealous of the attention Emma got around here. She caused more of a stir in the space of a week than a lot of members have caused in their whole time here (without even trying, mind you), and it only took a photo or two to do it. But i stress again, none of it was due to her own efforts. She was merely a bystander while guys drooled over her and girls became resentful. How in blue hell can any of you hold any of this against her when she didn't come here to seek attention in the first place? When Emma first registered, she merely introduced herself as Mac's friend and left it at that. Now I admit myself that she's very easy on the eye, but i don't let that impair my judgment of the situation, maybe it's cos i have a girlfriend i dunno. Most girls i know, if they were as attractive as emma, would have made a thread to post pictures of themselves the moment they got here. Now doesn't the absence of such an action even begin to suggest to some of you that she came here minding her own business?
I think I've gone on for long enough, so finally: I've seen more of this situation than just what's happened in the forum, and i have to hand it to Emma. She knows more of this situation than a lot of you think, and the only reason she hasn't said certain things that would IMO sway many opinions in her favour is for the sake of her friends. I'll leave it at that and hope it wasn't a big mistake to say that last bit.
