Plenty of comparisons between were/are still made. And yea I remember u arguing he was nothing like nedved, which is true
He is a little similar to Nedved in his drive and constant running though.

If it was explaining something, or was said in a natural matter of fact way, then yeah I would get it, but the timing of it and how he said, was pretty easy to see he was just downplaying a "big" signing that the board made. He said its not like Krasic is a champion or something (no one claimed he was btw), then proceeded to say that Ezequiel fucking Schellotto, now a forgotten benchplayer in Catania, is a champion. Like a direct comparison of someoene shouldnt gotten instead. His rhetorics and descrediting tactics is rather obvious (as I said, he doesnt stick with just pointing out the true/real incompetence, which its alot of, but just generally does it with everything).

As I said, I understand most of the common sense thing he says, but his agenda is usually pretty easy to read.
It could just be a case of being wrong about players as well, which Moggi has suffered from in the past, mind you.

99% reason for the comparison was the hair, and 1% because of the part of Europe he comes from. No one really took that comparison remotely seriously.
And his drive as well and work ethic as well. Don't forget about that.

Yeah, though I really wonder how he is as a central forward, dude plays 100% right wing forward. Though I really only want to sign a Porto player if its truly absolutely great/100% improvement player, or we are owned by Oil sheikhs/Oligarchs/Spanish banks, because any other scenario, and even attempting to buy their players is ridicolous. Totally overpriced.
Hulk for 40 mill isn't overpriced, he's one of the best players on his position in the world.

Dealing with Porto is pretty ridiculous. I just want Juve to leave Portugal asap.
By what standards is it ridiculous? If we have their full backs and Hulk we could have played with 9 players all season and still finish 7th.

edit: We'd finish with better style than we have with 11 !

Im sorry, but that is the price you pay for proven players of that quality, regardless of what club you are dealing with. Sure you could buy Hazard, and I think he is a great player, but he hasn't proven anything yet. He could be like Pennant in England, proclaimed to be the next football messiah when he was young and then turn out to play for Stoke in his late twenties. Football talent is plenty, proven football talent is scarce and expensive.

No Hulk is not 40m player, whoare you, his agent? And I wouldnt accuse of him of having much of a football brain Dule, but lots of talents, atleast last season, he reminded me bit of Quaresma in boneheaded stubborness in his approach (plus violent attitude), he developed well and stopped being bit destructive in attitude/approach, and truly shined. But there's other players to sign, that arent Porto star players, and especially offensive players of theirs.

What Hulk proved more than Hazard, seriously? It's silly compare both, but if you wanna go that way...

28M is a lot of money, no.

Yes, and for 28M you get these stats . 28M might be pushing it a bit, but it certainly isn't a rape.

And @ Osman:

I disagree wholeheartedly with what you are saying. I find his football brain to be spot on, he doesn't overdo his dribbles - when he tries he usually succeeds. Great passing, and fierce pace. I'd rather pay 40M for Hulk than 12M for Martinez. Atleast then you know you have a world class, proven player in your squad.

Are you really telling me that one of the driving forces behind the Porto success the past years hasn't proved more than an upcomming player from Lille?
Are we talking about the same Hulk, who was suspended for 4 months for hitting steward? He is so typical Brazilian. Lots of talent, skills and ability if/when they have what to prove. When done, they pull an Adriano's "I want to go home".

Hazard has been a key player for Lille (together with Gervinho) for last two seasons, and he is just 19 (where was Hulk 5 years ago as 19 year old?), they are winning the french league, a quite better league then Portuguese one, and its largely due to the quality of their key players, like Hazard. I dont care if you think Hulk is better (even if I would disagree), but in what way is he more proven? He emerged as a player in last two seasons, same as Hazard, had pretty average season last season, and an excellent one this season, producing plenty of goals (34, unlike last seasons meagre 10). How has he proven himself that much?
