I have no idea what the hate for Bastos is. He has had 1 mediocre season with Lyon - other than he is a spectacular player. Ive been following Ligue 1 for three years and I think Bastos is great.
I know we've had some unfortunate purchases the past few years, to say the least, but we can't discard every transfer before hand.

Personally, i hope Gigi will stay where he is now. The only one reason to sell him could be his desire to leave us. But the best GK in the world already said he wanna stay here. There is no secret Storari was better, but Gigi just came back after serious injury and we must understand his position.

We should gave a young proven coach like Deschamps a long term contract with small goals for next season (EL for example) and free hands in choosing transfers. CL next year is almost impossible, and a new revolution that would be needed could destabilize our team even more.

I think it'll be between Pirlo and Montolivo.

I agree, but any large spendings this transfer window will most certainly require CL qualification next year from an economical point of view. If we spend big this summer and fail to qualify it becomes an unfeasible investment.

Italy will have 3 CL spots in 2012/2013, but you need to qualify for those spots in 2011/2012. So only the first 3 next season will get CL spots for the season after.

My guess is Mazzarri will be announced which won`t be a popular decision among us.
He gave his clues already...

The second option is Van Gaal who is currently unemployed so it won`t affect any club if it is to be announced before the season ends but still quite unlikely

Poli is young, decent player, not sure if Aqua is better at all, and certainly twice as cheap, 9 millions?? dont think so, Serie B cuts down the price
