'Juve will soon make decisions’
Juventus director general Beppe Marotta has hinted that a decision on boss Gigi Del Neri could be made as soon as next week.
Although there are still two games of the season left, Marotta suggested that the tactician’s fate could be decided after the Parma match.
“We have clear ideas and for the good of Juventus we’ll work quickly,” he sad. “We will already start making decisions next week.
“Del Neri has a contract with us for 2011-12. However, we are working to identify what will be the best way forward.
“We have clear ideas and we’ll soon have a meeting for the good of Juventus.”
Marotta was speaking after the 2-2 draw at Chievo which, like the ties against Cesena and Catania, saw the Old Lady surrender a two-goal lead.
“The statistics are clear, we are unbeaten in eight games with four of those draws. In three of those cases we were pegged back from 2-0 up against sides lower in the table,” he added.
“This shows a lack of personality and balance in the team. We have to work on this and the fact that we concede goals.
“We have to work well in the transfer market to make sure these things are not repeated in the summer.
“In order to be great, Juve need to win not only when they’re two goals ahead, but also to clinch the three points with a 1-0 victory.”
Louis Van Gaal, Luciano Spalletti, Roberto Mancini, Walter Mazzarri and Antonio Conte are just some names linked with the Juve hotseat.
