I think it's affordable and flexible in terms of replacing certain players. I've seen Ganso used this way in a 4-3-3 or sort of 4-2-1-3 formation (http://www.zonalmarking.net/2010/08/11/menezes-brazil-first-game-usa/).

That's just my two cents. It definitely won't happen, but...
