If our options are only Del Neri and Mazzarri, I will take Mazzarri. Maybe he will sacrifice his 3-4-3 for a 4-3-3 since he's at a real club.

Mazzarri won't be bad, he'd be an upgrade on Del Neri, but where would he fit Krasic in his 3-5-2? And the 3-5-2 would be a failure in Europe when the team is faced by other wide teams.

Let's be real. If we hire Mazzarri it's not to win the CL. It's just to make top 4 and play some exciting football in our new stadium. This is the "transition period". The same period that was supposed to happen the past couple years but whatever, the objective is still the same.

Even by playing 3-4-3 with the same fucking players we have, we'd do better than under Del Neri. FFS, when he starts Motta we're basically playing a 3-4-2, so a 3-4-3 is an improvement.

Well that last part is simply retarded.

The biggest difference between Mazzarri and Del Neri is that Mazzarri presses the small teams and crushes them early while Del Neri prefers to sit back in his foosball table formation regardless of the opponent. There are so many shit teams in this league that if you just press them from the 1st minute, you will pick up free points. That's what cost us 4th place. Over 38 games, the difference between CL football and Europa is killing the small teams.
