Please let's not lose Melo.

I agree with what you guys are saying about Pepe but I wish you'd use kinder language. Guy worked hard for us. It's not his fault he doesn't have the talent. I wish him the best wherever he lands. (But please do go.)

Nowdays Hargreaves gets injured when he take a shit. Such a shame, he used to be a great player.
That made me spit OJ on my kb.

Buffon
Beck - Bonucci - Chiellini - DC/Ziegler
Krasic - Aquilani - Melo - Bastos
Matri - Rossi

That's pretty much what I'm expecting to happen.
That made me vomit on my kb. Ok vomit's probably too strong. But that's so unexciting.

I knew. And i am against using kids in our 11.

BTW What the fuck is up with all these youth lovers around here?
The thing with the kiddos is that actually they can improve. If they fail, we can get new ones. If they don't, we get good players at 0€. WIN/WIN situation. One, two or three youngsters every year would be the best, but desperate times... desperate measures. At the moment, we need five or six to warm our bench and focus on buying starters. The kids have to show some quality/talent ofc.

I wouldn't be crazy at that point to put a young as a (regular) starter in his first year.

Good post

Me neither. I would not out them in the starting eleven but I would use them as substitutes instead of Pepes and Mottas...

I remember reading stuff like this and wishing I could see more of them. Guys like Marrone especially. Reading about the young guys have been some of the bright spots for me in recent years.

This mentality is precisely what is wrong in Italian football nowadays. Teams prefer using older useless players only because they are "experienced" then giving a chance to younger players who are more talented.

That's cowardice, and incompetence and Luigi Delneri is one solid example because he prefer using Motta to Sorensen :sergio:

I did not imply that I wanted tons of youth players in our squad. I said that I preferred giving a chance to someone like Boniperti or Pasquato, players who might become decent if given a chance, than wasting our time with Pepe.
I would throw out Pepe headfirst for Pasquato, Boniperti I dont know since I havent seen him, and I dont mind him getting a shot. To fail or succeed, either way, its unwritten, and if they deem him ready, they should give him a shot, in place of Pepe if it need be, but its necessarily one or the other.

Pepe is ok backup at best, but its settling for less, especially since he will cost 10m. Simply should not excersize our buyout agreement, he's 28 this year, and WONT improve an inch, he is what he is.

I wouldn't have minded having Pepe as a back up if we would have bought him for 2,5 M euros, the fee that we paid last summer. However, wasting 7,5 M more on him...

So now that DP signed a contract for another year and made his requests known...he wants to win the league one last time...hopefully Agnelli hears that and takes it seriously...

Yep, exactly, its the kind of sheer average player we would settled with and done in the last years when they are free transfer or dirt cheap. But not when his cost is double figure millions.

I think we are going to get one world class player in attack and two really good players one for midfield and one for defence then the rest will be will be average players that will come cheap or free. We can specualte for the next month or so about who these players will be but there are just far too many rumours going around im not going to take any serious for a while its better to just wait and see.

By the way Melo is class and he will only get better, hope we keep him.
