I would have mentioned Asian player also but Korea is probably the best bet for this purpose and Italy collectively shot itself in the foot where that country is concerned. /shakes head

I really want an American on the squad though. It's not just kits and whatnot, we want mentions on ESPN etc, we need some more buzz anyway we can get it, Premiereship is leaving all Italy in the dust. If the kid is a national team guy all the better.

That would definitely be nice, and smart.

But the only candidates I see currently would be Timmy Howard, Donovan, Stuart Holden, Dempsey and Mikey Bradley. Maybe Agudelo if he turns out well. We both know Marotta won't look at an American field player, so Howard would be the only possibility. I'd love to see him come as a backup or something.
