Rakitic surprised me too, despite knowing very well that he's a good player. I didn't expect him to become an instrumental player in Sevilla so quickly.
For 1.5 million € signing a 22 year old who is better (and already more experienced at the top level) than more than half of your players was a must.
Its not rocket science, he was an instrumental player for Schalke and most assists in Germany

Terrible.

I can't believe we'll get Mancini.
How is that exactly terrible? I mean Mancini is by no means a great coach but he's lightyears ahead of Delneri. Spalletti is ahead of Delneri too. Juve wont go for a foreign coach and it wouldn't be that bad for Juve to have Mancini or Spalletti on board. Not when the alternatives are Delneri, Guidolin, Conte and Gasperini.

I don't like jumping from one to another mediocre coach. Yes, Mancini is better, but IMO he's far from being something that we need. Our coach should be a long term solution now and he's not that for me.

It's sad we're even linked with those.

Juventus remember Fortunato

Juventus have honoured the passing of Andrea Fortunato, the club's 23-year-old left-back, who died of leukaemia in 1995.

Fortunato's death shocked Italian football, no more so because it looked as though he might recover only for a bout of pneumonia to bring about a relapse.

“Another year has passed,” read an official statement on Juventus' website. “Another year without Andrea Fortunato. Monday, April 25 2011 is the 16th anniversary of the young lad from Salerno's death from leukaemia.

“Andrea remains in the hearts of all Juventus fans who on this anniversary are closer than ever to his family.”

Juventus re-published a quote from Gianluca Vialli who was very close to Fortunato at the time.

“We believed you were invincible. In these 11 months you have been an example for us, for how you knew how to face real problems, not those linked to simple victories or defeats, with courage, serenity, strength and determination.

“We love you. We carry you in our hearts. Honour to you, brother Andrea Fortunato.”
