They were offering close to 25 for the older/worse Vidic with one year on his contract. If you see how much Real M paid for Carvalho, a squad player in Chelsea with astronomical wages, half the qualities of Chiello and twice the age - why wouldn't anyone pay 50 millions for our hero?
Some people in this forum are forgetting that while you can get 3 great players for Juventus for those money, it is impossible to find 3 great players for Real for the same cash. And even if they did - they have no place to field them. That is why it makes perfect sense to get 40 mils+ for Chiello, while he wouldn't be worth the same money to us - cause we are fielding Motta next to him.
-Well, guess with Real you never know. As i said-sell, if such offer comes.

€50M for Chiellini? What a fucking joke. If we get half that, we should be more than happy.

Carvalho got sold to Real for €8M which is a bargain, and in terms of quality, Chiellini doesn't even come close. The same goes for Vidic, who also is on a whole other level than Chiellini.

Agreed.

But if it's up to me I'd never sell Chiellini at this point and again if we're selling some CB it should be Bonucci who's not a good pair with Chiellini IMO. I mean, he's good and I rate him but somehow I can't see those two playing great as a team.

I always preferred somebody who posses good technique and a brain next to Giorgio. I still think we'd have one of the best pairs in Europe if we got Mexes. But there are plenty of defenders who'd be very good.

Chiellini, Melo and Buffon should be the last players to be placed on a transfer list in this Juventus.

Doesn't Balotelli hate us? I can never see him joining us. Realistic Mercato:

Buffon
Beck - Bonucci - Chiellini - Zeigler
Melo - Aquilani - Marchisio
Krasic - Matri - Neymar

Beck 7.5M + Neymar 35M + Ziegler (free) = 42.5M
Matri 5M (installment) + Quags 3M (installment) + Aquilani 12M = 20M
Total = 62.5M

Sell: Iaquinta 7M, Amauri 7M - I really don't know who else we can sell. Our squad is very limited. (and hopefully we can even get 7M for each player)
Release: Traore, Motta, Rinaudo, Pepe, Hasan, Grosso. Free up some wages.
Bench/Backups: De Ceglie, Sorensen, Grygera, Barzagli, Sissoko, Martinez, Giandonato, Toni, Del Piero, Quags
I've already posted that same formation.
We want VDW and that's why Raiola was called to Turin. 10.5 + Grygera.

He also proposed Balotelli on loan.
Double :tuttosport:

I'd like to know what he said exactly about Balotelli and his antics...
Going through these previous pages, I can't decide what disgusts me the most. But I've managed to narrow it down to 2 things:

* People being okay with selling Chiellini
* People being okay with signing Balotelli
You are going to feel silly when he get's his shit together. A loan with option to buy wouldn't be bad. If he shows signs of improvement we keep, if not off he goes.
the first one is just retarded, 2nd is OK.

I don't see them selling either to be honest...probably, despite some criticism, the most stable partnership we have right now in the team. I'd give them one more year, if things don't improve then Bonucci is the one to go...hell, maybe even throw in Sorensen next year to increase competition.

To me it all depends how much we could get from a Chiellini sale. If a club would pay around €25M i would sell him. We should be able to get a classy replacement with that kind of money, who's younger and who could develop into a world beater.

I totally agree with you on the pairing of Chiellini and Bonucci. I said it the moment we bought him last summer, those two will never fit together. We should have bought Ranocchia instead, seeing as he's the type of defender who would fit in perfectly with Chiellini.

Excuse me? The guy joined them in the middle of summer. Did you see the frog in Bari? He was a beast. There is no way you can rule him out because of the last two-three months. Its not easy to join a team in January and fit right in.

In that case, thank god we didn't get Edin Dzeko!
