:boh:

Spalletti and Deschamps are clear runnings at the moment. Moggi told Agnelli to push for Dechamps whilst Marotta has already spoken with Spalletti.
Andrea needs to win that battle, everyday. Spalletti is a reserve, but even then there shouldn't be an excuse for not getting DD ahead of him.

I think he's a good player, I was more looking at Johnson. Didn't know about homesickness.

Scouts at the Porto game tonight.
JAMES!

If Chiellini weren't Italian, everybody would saying SELL, SELL , SELL.
I'd have the same opinion of him, without the extra love because he's Italian. :p If Chiellini wasn't this good then I'd probably accept a high offer.

I'm not a fan of putting a price on my teams best players. I hate it, all I read for years is how Buffon, Chiellini, Trezeguet etc are getting sold.

Nesta, Silva, Samuel and Lucio is by far better defenders than Chiellini. So ok, you got me, he's number 5 in Italy.
Goodness.

Chiellini is at a huge disadvantage just now, because he is playing in such a poor side, compared to pretty much all the other good CBs in Europe.
This cannot be emphasised enough, in my opinion.

srsly 30 mil plus benz would be a pretty good offer and maybe one we shouldn't refuse.
giorgio is great and in my view one of the best defenders in world and he is def. a big game player but if we don't intend to buy 2 good fullbacks there is no point in having him as a cb...
we can not concede more than we do now with even an avarage cb.
if we could get subotic/hummels or someone at this level for around 15-20 mil we would still have 10 mil to spend on a fullback and have benz in attack.
but we should only consider this offer if we do not have any money to spend.

Chiellini is good but not amazing as some would put it, he can be replaced. The only reason i said i'd do it is because we'd get a WC striker, that means we wouldn't need to exercise our option on taking Quag or Matri. 30m for a defender is too good to turn down, we could easily find another player to replace him that's even ahead of him.

That being said, that rumour came from Nick so by the time i finish this post, i'll come out of narnia & back into reality.:D

I disagree with this so much. If something is bad you don't make it shit, and yes this can get a lot worse (besides the point, but people seem to think that this cannot get worse for some bizarre reason). Chiellini holds a lot of it together at times.

Equally to those who call for us to sell everything and start from scratch, they seem to be living in a world far from reality. Football Manager land or something which causes similar delusion.

Who could we find that is ahead of Chiellini? I honestly haven't taken the care to think of any CB for Juventus, seems like most of them are taken. I'm thinking in terms of causing minimal disturbance to this team which contains some talented players, Juventus needs some consistency, especially someone who leads like Chiello. I didn't read the part about the WC striker, I'm guessing you're referring to Benzema. And yes, 30m + Benzema is something which happens down the rabbit hole :D

I don't want Matri either, I don't think he can change my mind on that in the remaining time.

Carvalho, Pique, Vidic even if they're unrealistic targets they would offer something extra that Chiellini couldn't offer. This is all in theory of course, so it's 50-50. Yup Benzema, simply put if that rumour were true, it would solve so many issues with one go.:D

Aiming high then :D I don't think we can realistically replace him with someone as good.

I do think Carvalho was fantastic, but has declined.

our backline isn't bad it is shit already :D if you have the same goals conceded like brescia who are second of the bottom there isn't much working.
so selling giorigo and get subotic plus 2 fullbacks would make our backline 10times better than having giorgio in the middle with ashton and the dane as fullbacks

my point is we are better of with 4 good players than 3 avarage one and one wc player

Btw Dusan, Subotic not as good Chiellini at all, you know who is close to Giorgio though in that team? Hummels, defenitely better then Subotic every time I see Dorthmund, but he doesnt get the same Goal.com Hype or big team rumour mills as Subotic does (allways rumoured to big teams loosely, but never anything to it).
