Hummels is also a great option IMO but I don't think Dortmund plans to sell both. I see one leaving in the summer, though.
Btw, I find it very sad that we can't get Mexes as his contract is about to expire. I think he's great and I rate him much, much higher than Bonucci. I think Chiellini - Mexes would be one of the best CB pairs in Europe.

Yeah Hummels is great but Dortmund won't let him go, i've done some searches on Subotic & looks like Chelsea are hot after him. So that would mean Bayern, Chelsea & Citeh will battle it out for him most probably. Too bad.
I like Mexes too but he's too much of a hot head & Chiellini also has his brute moments. I'm not too keen on having an all brute CB pairing. Thing is players always say one thing & do another so i'm sure we could get him especially if we were to get Deschamps back as manager.

Chelsea was very close, but they signed David Luiz. Not just that, but Ivanovic wants to play more as a CB so I don't think they'll go after him in the summer. But other clubs will surely bid but I don't think it's an impossible mission, though.
Mexes has a great technique for a defender and has a brain, his passes are also very good. I rate him very high and I always wanted him here, even before he joined Roma.

I watched enough Milan games to judge T.Silly this season, and (once again I repeat) he's not even better than Nesta.
Agree, Chiellini would do better with a laid back central defender, someone who is composed and can pass the ball from the defence.
Btw what happened to Kjaer? I don't watch a lot of Bundisliga and I hate Wolfsburg so I'm yet to see him playing. Is he doing good?
