DN seems to love Marchisio on the left of a 4-4-2(4-3-3) and spending 15m+ on a 28 year old non-EU player could be another gamble. I like Bastos but I find our mid of Aquilani-Melo-Marchisio to be fine. Spend on the fullbacks and have a younger LW for the bench or spend less on Drenthe if he accepts not playing all the time.

Thats actually a really good plan. I am a big Drenthe fan. He has alot of ability and would give us someone who can beat his man on the left. I hope Madrid would not want too much for him. He is on loan at Hercules but they can are not going to buy him outright?

Marchisio-Aquilani- Melo in midfield is good but assuming Sissoko leaves in the summer I think Marchisio will be getting more games as a CM rather then out on the left. So Drenthe and him alternating on the left depending on the situation and Marchisio filling in for Aquilani and MElo when they are not able to play would work well.

Drenthe is a trouble maker. Not wanted at Hercules and not wanted at Madrid.
Well he was doing great at first in hercules but they did not pay his salary so he caused problems due to that. As for Madrid they expected him to be a new roberto carlos LB and he was not.. We would play him as a LW not a LB so he would work out well here. Plenty of players dont work out at Madrid and go on to do great things. His pace and ability to beat his man would be huge for us. Also the fact he has had some issues in the past would allow us to get him with alot less competition and for a reduced fee. It is a risk worth taking imo. I assume he would go for like 8 million? .. that is Pepe's option to buy on his loan.

    Drenthe > Pepe

If I didn't receive my paycheck after a week's work, I'll be pretty upset too.

I like Drethe, he's a player that could add creativity and speed to our left wing, and for a low cost.

Forget buying a LW. Why waste money on a department that could essentially be covered by Giovinco.Boniperti.Pepe.Martinez. Get a damn LB and build from the back up. If we get a capable RB and LB (Depending on De Ceglie form) we could even splash on a dark skinned brazilian

Well Lorena said they bought him for 18 million Euro. So I think they would take 20 because he is not consistent according to Fred and doing alot of talk in the media. Maybe they would even be willing to sell him for what they bought him just to get rid of him?
Thats true. I think Bastos would cost around 15-20M, i think Lyon are willing to sell if the offer is right.

Bastos is a troublemaker too mind you.

Honestly, selling Chiellini would be the rabbit out of the hat for marotta! It would be just magical. Then just firing him would be quite insufficient imho. If they want him as their next C. Ronaldo - yeah sure, you can not stop a hundred mils... but I doubt it.
And not making it to the CL would be a huge factor, whether we like it or not. If this is not just media BS (although it was already reported last year, and a fact is the beginning of every idea being a fantasy...) then someone knowing a thing or two about football is of the opinion that we won't make it to the CL.
And it is quite confusing with all the loans with options. I read a lot of theories and calculations here, but the overall conclusion is we will not have the cash for additional transfers. LB, RB , CM ... will not happen next summer and world class players could arrive on 01.2012 or later, if we would look like making CL in 2013, right?
My god, I still can't beleive that we are doing those calculations with our Juve. Fuck that!

Atletico Madrid Striker Sergio Aguero & Palermo Ace Javier Pastore In Juventus' Sight

    - Report Juventus have €80 million to spend on both Aguero and Pastore...

Juventus are being linked with ambitious moves for Atletico Madrid hitman Sergio Aguero, and Palermo playmaker Javier Pastore. La Gazetta dello Sport, and Sportmediaset.it are reporting the Bianconeri directorate will have around €80 million to spend on transfers. And Giuseppe Marotta is eager to bolster the squad in light of possible Champions League football. Aguero, who Atletico have denied as being for sale, is said to be a priority target. But, aside from resistance from the Spanish club, Juve face competition from Tottenham and Chelsea who have long been linked with him. Second on the list is Pastore. He continues to attract big interest from several clubs and recently claimed he would prefer Juventus over Real Madrid and Barcelona. The 21-year-old continues to impress, though Maurizio Zamparini recently claimed it would take a €100m bid to sell him.
