Marotta and DN's dream was Pazzo. Garrone never wanted to sell him to Juve. inter made a bid and got him. Cesena said Juve wanted Nagatomo, inter got him. f*ck em' They did what they had to do. They got the money.

Not happy we didn't get at least one fullback.

Ziegler wasn't sold so this means he's got a deal with some club in June. Could it be Juve? :boh:

Unfortunately we couldn't land Forlan, Benzema, L. Fabiano...so Matri's better than Gila. I'm pretty certain we wanted Pazzo for June and after he was sold to the merdazurri I thought we'd go for Gila in the summer. phew! Welcome Matri!

Aaron, if I were a Liverpool supporter, I would be very very happy with what they have done with the acquisitions of Suarez and Carroll. 2 up and coming players who will be the centerpieces of their strikeforce for the next 5 years. And in the end, the net cost of those two, with the sale of torres, was an extra 7.5 million pounds.

And people were concerned that the new owners of Liverpool wouldn't make moves like they do with the Boston Red Sox. This has got that ownership group's signature style all over it.

We sold Babel for 5 million pounds so our net spend is 2 million pounds.

    Really??

Wow, that is even better for them, then.

    Amazing.

I've had the good fortune (Even though I am not a Sox fan) of seeing how these guys do business. Just wait in a couple of years when their youth academy will be the envy of all of England.

I'm interested to see how they invest in the summer when issues like management and coaching staff will need to be addressed.

They will, and I can tell you right now that they will invest in young players, and anyone else they sell, they will sell one year too early instead of one year too late in order to get maximum value.

I said this when it first happened, but you guys are very, very, lucky to have this ownership group. I am extremely envious and wish that they had purchased Juve instead.
