Nedved: "We are looking for a striker"

During the presentation of his book to the club Rai, our Czech Fury announced that Juventus will not stand and, despite the difficulties, try to take in every way a striker: "The market for Juventus is not closed. We are looking for a striker capable of scoring many goals, "said Pavel Nedved of the microphones Tuttosport

I hope he's not up to Neddy's standards because he wanted Grygera and thinks Hamsik is much better than him. :p

I was wondering about Lassana Diarra. Whats going on with him? He's a fantastic player, young and we could easily get him for a good price. Any links?

RM said today that they had signed him for 21M 1.5 year ago and they wont make a loss on him. Tottenham wants him.
However Mahmouda Diarra could be very cheap, but I dont know if he's any good.

Papiss Cisse is currently the top scorer in Bundesliga with 15 league goals, and overall 17 goals in 18 apps.

    Pretty impressive.
He is great and scores almost every game but you must keep on your mind that it would be a lot different for him to play for Freiburg and for Juve because he is their target man and every ball goes to him and here would probably be different because he would have different squad status.

interesting, what is bothering me at the moment is that everyone at Juve are singing off different hymn sheets, first we had Marotta admitting we are seeking to replace quagliarella and later stated that Toni was not his replacement, DN stated the opposite that Toni was infact his replacement, now after marotta has already hinted that the winter mercato is over, Nedved is saying the opposite, I find this incredibly worrying, in perspective it says a lot about this 'project' nobody is in unison

I read the quote in Italian and he says our mercato is not closed and HE would like a forward that makes the difference and scores lot's of goals.

I thought that we are after a player that can play as a second striker and not for a poacher. At least our board said some time ago that we are searching for a Quag replacement. So, I don't know about Cisse but he seems more of a poacher than a Quag-type player. Definitely, Hunter is not such a player...

which is why i dont understand why DN said that Toni was the replacement and felt no need for anymore additions upfront.
