I'm reading VS and there's no news for RB position other than the probable Amauri-Johnson swap.. one of the latest BS rumours of this week probably..
Come next week we'll be hearing more..

Italians were more than Happy last season when Inter won the CL. Just like what they felt when Milan won before that or any other Italian team that won.

Whats the point of having a team filled with Italian players if you can't win anything in Europe ? Sampdoria's team is filled with Italian players but guess what, they'll most likely won't win anything in Europe in the near future.

One of the "Main" reasons Italian clubs dominated in Europe from the late 70's through out the 80's and 90's is the Foreigners in their league (fact).

Don't you find it Ironic that when the number of foreign players in serie A decreased in the last 6-7 years Italian clubs struggled "alot" in Europe (with the exception of Milan and Inter) !!

Even with that low number of foreigners today in serie A, they still are the best talents in league by faar and one of them "Ironically" happens to be a serbian who plays for us :shifty:

Juventus and Italy: Forever Entwined

Marcello Lippi named his squad for the forthcoming International fixtures this week and it contained few surprises. What people may find interesting is that it contained eight current Juventus players, another who the club co-owns, and a further two who wore the famous Black and White stripes until very recently. This is nothing new to Italy, as Adamo Digby explains the history.

The history of Juventus and the Italian national team are so entwined as to be almost inseparable. The peaks of both often mirror one another, with Italy's moments of triumph always arriving when the squad is based around its most famous club. Indeed six of the top 10 most capped Internationals have been at Juventus at some point of their careers.

The two main reasons for this trend are extremely simple. Firstly, Juventus is Italy's most successful club by far. Secondly, the club has a tradition of having a team and squad made up largely of home-grown players. The squad of 25 first-team players at the club contains no fewer than 13 Italians, plus naturalised players Camoranesi and Amauri. The clubs most high profile recent signing, Diego, also has Italian grandparents.

Overall, Juventus is the club that has contributed the most players to the Italian national team in history, with 123 Bianconeri players featuring in competitive games for Italy. They also boast a formidable 22 Italian World Cup winners, a record for any club in world football.

In addition to this, Zidane and Deschamps won the World Cup for France while playing at Juventus. The most recent World Cup Final in 2006, between Italy and France, contained nine Juventus players.

Two Juventus players, Salvatore "Toto" Schillaci and Paolo Rossi, won the Golden Boot as top scorer. These came at the 1990 and 1982 World Cups.

The influence of Juventus on the Italian National Team remains as strong today as it ever was, with coach Marcello Lippi praising his former club for their efforts in nurturing Italian talent. With every winning team the country has produced containing Juventus players it is a trend many hope continues awhile yet.
