Cassano wasn't needed as we had quags and DP, plus IQ as that in between player...but with DP's form declining, quags being injured and IQ being shit, cassano is very much needed.

What Marotta made clear was that Cassano is not a part of Juve's plans. Google "Marotta Cassano No" and you will find many articles about it from December 13th.

I don't think Marotta ever said that Cassano being a troublemaker is what makes him undesirable by Juve, but he clearly said that we're not interested in Cassano.
Now why we weren't interested, I don't know. Some here think that it was in order to mentain the good relations with Garrone, but I don't see how buying Cassano would have troubled that relationship, since Galliani and Garrone both said how happy they were that the situation was resolved in everyone's favor.
i remember him saying cassano can affect the spirit

And somebody still sayin' that juve was first choice for him?
I have no ill will towards Dzeko. But I would want to slap sense in all the Juve dreamers who think we're still Real Madrid.

I think it was Del Neri who didn't wanted Cassano, after having tasted his attitude at Sampdoria. I would also be perfectly happy with DP and Quag in DN place, if what's written about Cassano's time in Sampdoria is true.

That could very well be how the board was thinking. Were they right or wrong, time could tell.

Still, a Milan with Pato and Robinho in the squad (as well as Zlatan who could also play as a SS) did get Cassano. Talents like Cassano don't come too often and Del Piero won't be playing for too long (Quag can easily play prima punta, as seen in the matches when he started alongside Dp).
All this becomes even more strange when you consider the way we like to present ourselves as ItalJuve. The most talented Italian attacker is free and the Most Italian team doesn't want him.

Juventus may use Amauri in a number of ways to solve future deals with Liverpool, according to Tuttosport.

The 30-year-old Brazilian has struggled for form and fitness this season, leaving Juventus with little option but to consider the possibility of him leaving.

Giuseppe Marotta and Fabio Paratici have their eyes on a number of Liverpool players, and could use Amauri as a convincer when it comes to business.

Roy Hodgson's men are said to be keen on the forward and have been for some time, but his €3.8 million wages could see the move come unstuck.

Juve, though, are willing to follow through and push negotiations forward as they are keen to keep Alberto Aquilani at the end of term.

Reds chiefs want around €16m for the full rights to the Italian, but Marotta is hoping to lower that fee by inserting Amauri into a possible deal.

On the other hand, Juve have their eyes on Daniel Agger, Glen Johnson and Ryan Babel, and could use Amauri if talks take off.

Cant really see this come to Fruition but anything is possible

Juventus is now a wannabe Sampdoria. :pado:

Really. I think Samps fullbacks were better than ours this year (no doubt)

Cassano and Pazzini was better than Del Piero and Iaquinta, no offense.

I don't think we are far better team than Samp was last year. Our CB's, Krasic, Aqua and Melo makes the difference.
