the decision not to go for Cassano on a free is now looking even more disappointing.

I wouldn't want Mutu back, the guys coke habit is worrying. Forlan would be ideal in terms of characteristics but its his age that worries me. Suarez from Ajax would be a good signing IMO. We need a bit of pace as the current frontline is not mobile enough

The last time he was caught doing coke was at Chelsea in 2004. The last ban was for using steroids, diet pills IIRC.

I heard Fiorentina want to terminate his contract, Mutu for free would be awesome. This is another opportunity presenting itself, we don't want to make another Cassano mistake. We need to save the money for other positions, let's say fullbacks.

I think we shouldn't look to buy a new SS if Martinez will be fit, he is perfect for that position IMO. And instead of an attacker, let's buy some fullbacks :)

ah ok I must have got the wrong end of the stick, i thought he was banned again for coke. I'm with you on us needing to save money, and if we can bag him for free and on an 18 month contract, it would be a good deal so long as we invest in our defence.
