[/B]Juventus make last desperate attempt to hijack Manchester City move for Edin Dzeko - report
30 Dec 2010 10:56:00

Juventus are hoping to hijack Manchester City's move for Wolfsburg striker Edin Dzeko, according to Tuttosport.

City have reportedly offered a deal totalling €35 million (£29.8m) to the German side, but Juve have long been admirers of the 24-year-old Bosnian, and while they cannot sign him for January - having*no space for non-EU players - Mohamed Sissoko will be offered in January as a deposit for June.

Wolfsburg are keen on the 25-year-old Mali midfielder and wanted him as part of the Diego move six months ago, but the Italians wouldn't part with the former Liverpool man.

Sissoko is no longer part of plans in Turin, making director Giuseppe Marotta able to push him towards the Bundesliga to then offer cash for Dzeko in the summer.

Juventus have made it*clear they won't make any major investments in January, but have left the door open for a Dzeko move in the future.

I'd absolutely love it if we took a gamble with Van Persie, complete and very good attacker, but I can't see Arsenal letting him go unless a serious amount is offered. Forlan also would be awesome, it always feels good to hear that we are linked with good players. :p

Bendtner staying at Arsenal it seems.

La Stampa - Bale is a dream.

Cigarini - There are rumors involving Juventus and Genoa
Bale is my dream. Krasic on right, and Bale on left, can you imagine that? Even Amauri then would score 3 goals each match at least :touched:

Juve and Napoli battle for Brito

Napoli and Juventus are thought to be battling for the signature of Bologna defender Miguel Angel Britos.
The Uruguayan talent has impressed in Serie A and the two clubs are interested in the 25-year-old during the January transfer window.

He would be available for around €5m, but the contenders are taking different approaches.

According to the Corriere dello Sport and Tuttosport, Napoli have offered €4m cash for Britos.

Juventus would prefer to pledge a smaller monetary sum plus ownership of Albin Ekdal, who is already co-owned by Bologna.

“On Monday we will hold a summit within the club with the new owners and plan out the transfer strategy,” said Bologna director of sport Carmine Longo.
s

“After that we will consider any offers for our players. In my personal opinion, Britos is a very important figure for Bologna and we cannot afford to weaken the squad.”

New patron Massimo Zanetti, owner of the Segafredo coffee company, has now paid three months worth of outstanding wages, so the players have cancelled the legal action against the club
