Ilicic is great, but dont really see where we'd field him.
He won't leave Palermo in the summer. Later, who knows how we'll play. In the last matches for Palermo he played a typical SS. In two years our attack will most probably look completely different than today and there might be a place for him.

Yeah his role is somewhat of an ss, but I think he's more of a midfielder.. Hard to place him, cause Palermo play an a-typical formation.

-------------Sirigu
Cassani Munoz Bovo Balzaretti
-----------Bacinovic
---Migliaccio--------Nocerino
-----Ilicic---Pastore
---------------------Miccoli

Pretty weird :p

Iličič could play on either wing, but I believe he prefers right side, although he is left-footed. He player one match for NT on the right wing and was quite effective.

On a scale of 1-10, how would you guys rate Pastore and Illic. Let's call this the Hustini rating scale for shits and giggles.

We need to make some buys this January. Santa, bring us a real poacher.

Between them I think Ilicic would be more useful to Juventus.

I think I want us to buy Cavani. It's not some knee jerk reaction to the goal today because I really liked him since the Palermo days, thought he had some exciting potential. Bonus for stopping Napoli scoring in the final few minutes every week.

and he is such a nice guy too.. :D, he really is a great striker, one that could fill in treze's spot,he wont become our most goalscoring foreign player, but he would at least score the easy ones, and get us 18+ goals a season..
he moves, and passes very efficiently and most importantly can score !!

Marotta: 'Why Juve won't get Cassano'

Juventus director general Beppe Marotta explains why they didn’t make an offer for Antonio Cassano. “We look at the professionalism of players.”

The Bianconeri had repeatedly been linked with Cassano, so when he was put on the transfer market following his row with Sampdoria, they were expected to be first in line.

Instead it looks as if he will join Scudetto rivals Milan, as Juve pulled out of the bidding war.

“We are covered in that role and our plans are different to those of Milan,”
said Marotta.

“There are some clubs who on top of the technical gifts also look at the professionalism of players before making a buy.

“Every now and then Cassano has let himself go in unfortunate incidents, such as the one with President Riccardo Garrone that made it necessary for the club to intervene.

“In any case, I hope Cassano soon finds a club, as he is one of the best players in Italy, if not the world.”

Juventus have hinted at January reinforcements for the injury-ravaged squad.

“If we should find a player in Cassano’s situation, then we’d try to get him,” continued Marotta on Sky Sport Italia.

“Obviously there are strong players out there, but in the transfer window we have to look at bargains and keep an eye on the economic aspect. We are lowering the average wages by signing players when they are still young.”
