No Marintez is completely different because so far he's been a crock and hardly seen the pitch. Diego is a good example though and I agree with you on the fact that we did overspend on some players. Although, we've also had good deals on Krasic and Aquilani.

Pepe at 10m for me is a bit pricey but if he continues to work hard and contribute when he can then he may justify it. Quag again, for me, we overpaid though he could justify his price if he keeps scoring. Same with Melo, Diego, and Amauri - overpaid.

But regardless of all that, the point I was making was that it isn't going to take much out of next years budget to retain what we want from this years squad.

That last one I don't know for sure, I'm not great with the numbers and I could be mistaking, but it was rumoured that Juventus had a 80M budget this summer. Where 30M were paid on installments on Diego, Amauri and Melo which left us with the actual 50M(?) we spended.

But I do agree with you on the loan part, it shouldn't be felt that hard in next 2011 summer's budget.

From banks point of view, when you pay from installments they normally overcharge you, either interest or something else. im assuming, instead of paying 20 mil cash we pay 22 mil in installments. The worst part of installments is that you keep paying for a shitty player after a very disappointing season.

How did you come to that conclusion? Do you know that we spent 70mln+ for new players in summer of 2007? And around 5-60mln in 2008 and 2009.

If we get in CHL zone this season I'm pretty sure we'll have a budget around 60mln at least.

Since they like taking loans and paying in installments maybe we will buy three more quality players just like quag and Aquilani and pay them later as usually.
Does anyone one what are our priority players.
one LM, one LB (unless De Ceglie keeps his form), one striker and a RB. I think in other positions we need not reinforcements.
