Antonio Cassano will be playing for Inter in January after agreeing personal terms with the club to seal his exit from Sampdoria early.
Directors at Inter have established contact and they have an agreement from the player, who will join them on a free deal once his Sampdoria contract rescission is finalised.
Inter have long been linked with Cassano, and Tuttosport claims they have been working behind the scenes to bag their man.
Massimo Moratti now has his target, and Rafael Benitez gets a second striker - something much needed at the club.
Cassano is currently excluded from the 'Doria squad after rupturing his relationship with club president Riccardo Garrone.
Inter though will bring him back to life, if reports around the peninsula are to be believed.
The Lega Serie A received the application from Sampdoria to rescind the player's contract. Should that go through, there would be nothing to stop Cassano joining the Nerazzurri on a free transfer.
