Verthengen makes a good choice to replace Legro since he will out of contract next season.
A third choice CB to keep our first choice on their toes all the time.
Plus we need better depth on the bench for CL as well

although Neymar seemed to be the big surprise player for the new stadium from what I hear. Juve and the player reached an agreement but a big club could intervene and snatch him up. The deal was top secret but with the agent opening his mouth and possible Billionaire erection on Neymar could blow the deal.

I don't know why Brazilians always fail in Juve?

I can only remember Cesar in the beginning of 90s but even him was not that huge success though stayed with Juve for several yrs.

    Really?

Only Chelsea seriously wanted him from what I heard.

Italy would be perfect for him I think. Plenty of Brazillians in Milan to occupy him also :p

Yet,he wasn't that huge difference for us.Yes he was good, but i liked Tacchinardi's work before him,Alessio should have just continued.
Emerson was much better then Tacchinardi, and I never liked Emerson (nothing to do with his performances).

And you talking about failing Brasilians, thats because we havent bought much of good brasilians, actually we generally avoided brasilians alot.

Ahirson was the typical random fringe flop signing, Diego quality, struggled and not given a proper chance with a 2nd season. Melo is getting that and will prove he is good enough. Amauri is simply an average player who deceived us all to hope for more basically. Emerson was word class DM, one of the top few best in the bussiness. And thats where our list ends, besides Cesar who I barely saw except Europe game as a kid, but he was apparently just a solid squad player.

So yeah, weird question to ask yourself, wondering why brasilians fail, you should ask yourself first the quality of the players and wether they are good enough or not. Brasilians dominated Italian league football long enough, obviously our choice of players is the issue.

    Neymar's got skills, yes...

With that said, he's a fucking headcase. Robinho II, trust me. If you're going to get someone from Santos, get Ganso. He's the closest thing to Zidane in the game today. Certainly a lofty comparison, but I believe it to be true. Intelligence and magic win games, not showboating.

The question is where will you put this Jan Verthoengen? CB? We already have Bonucci - Chiellini.. DMC/MC we already have Melo/Momo.. Or at fullbacks that he is not excel at? but much needed for our club
And when one of the CBs is injured, what will you do? Wheel out a 49 year-old Legrottaglie? A little competition for a place in the team never hurt anyone. Players need to fight for their place in the squad. The more quality players in the team, the better the players play.
