If we sign Benzema, I want him as a CF, with a Cassano/Rossi type behind him. I think I remember reading Fred's posts in his last years in Lyon when he felt that Benzema was being wasted in a role where he is out wide (correct me if I'm wrong on that).

Well that's the thing has the clause been confirmed by a reliable source, because Mark's word ain't gonna cut it for me.

I agree with using Benzema as a CF & yeah it is a waste to put him out there, but the point i made is that if it were necessary for him to do it he could.

I seriously doubt Sampdoria would let him go for that amount. Especially if Marotta plans on getting anymore players from them.

If 20m is written into his contract, they don't have any choice but to let him go for that amount.

And if he wasn't 28 (29 by the time we get him) I would say yes, but for 20MEuro, we might also get Rossi which is younger and IMO also able to do a hell of a job as SS for us.

I think everyone here is underestimating Rossi, he has been playing in one of the strongest leagues for several years now, scoring 10-15 goals every season and being a starter for a club close behind the top 2 (challeging for CL every season).
I think he deserves a chance at Juve.

And he is only 23, Cassano is 28 already so no comparison there
