Well, a Palermo fan could say much more about Cassani but over the last two-three years I've seen quite enough to conclude that he's both a good defender and solid in attack. Some times he's excellent.

Good to see that Prandelli noticed the same too. God knows why he started Motta in his debut. Looks like he realized his mistake now.

It sucks that he's actually a Juve product. We could have used him after 2006.

The work in attack is more noticeable in fullbacks you don't follow on regular basis. We tend to overlook their defensive work unless they screw up, but we notice a good attacking move. I must admit that his attacking side was too what I first noticed. Later I had a chance to watch Palermo more often and follow Cassani as a defender too. Liked it a lot.

You're right about that.

Cassani isnt hyped or such, but his performances doesnt get unnoticed, he is virtually considered the 2nd best RB in Serie A after Maicon, and for good reason. Even if he isnt flashy.

And yeah as Alen said, its a shame he is a Juve product.
