Well he didn't do more than Capello , but he had less money.

I also don't think he is a great tactician. He has an attractive way of playing and doesn't seem to change from that whatever the situation. He's fine as long as things are going well.

Call me a pessimist, but I can next season as Ferrara’s one.

-Hire Nedved as a manager (Ferrara)
-Media puts pressure on our board to spend big on 1-2 players.
-We will get quality players, but not world class. Let’s say Bastos and Rossi (Melo and Diego). The management will assume they are all we need.
-Totally ignore full-backs. Buy someone like Zaccardo and keep our “destined left back” Grosso.

Okay I exaggerated, but I don’t have faith in Marotta at all.

He did I think but I'm talking about Europe.

But what about the goals scored against him, everyone was critcizing him for playing "fancy football" then suddenly getting goals against him.
His defence sucked pretty much.

After the Roma-Genoa comeback match some weeks ago, the sayings were that "It was like Spallettis ghost was coaching Roma".
Dunno, I rate him high. And it's not like he was shit with Roma, he was second for some time and did very good.

This is how I think the mercato will develop..

- First of all, Marotta is going to speak more than he will deliver. I mean seriously, 4 new WC players? The man has in one year given us players like Toni, Barzagli, Pepe, Martinez, those are players I would have never believed would play for us. And I'm pretty sure that what he defines as world class is not even close to what we think is world class.
- No new manager, Marotta will keep his boy Del Neri around.
- No new striker, we'll get fooled into thinking that Quag and Matri are good enough cuz they both did good this season. No Sanchez, Rossi or whatever cuz they'll be way too expensive. And I'm pretty certain that they already think we have one of the best striking duo in the league in Quag and Matri.
- For sure we're getting a new RB. With all the problems and changings Del Neri has done this season in that position I'm pretty sure they've had enough.
- No new LB, they probably think De Ceglie is good enough.
- We'll sign Aquilani, and if we don't then we'll offer Pirlo a contract he can't refuse with him being 32 and all.
- Bastos or some other defensive LM will come.

Silvano Martina (Fifa agent) suggested we should go for Ivanovic and said how he would make a huge difference. Also, not good odds on Spelletti coming here cause of his high wages.

Maurizio Gaudino (Italian agent) said that Schweinsteiger is being followed by Italian clubs.

Wouldn't Bastos take the non-EU spot? Only way Ivanovic would come here would be if the non-EU rule got changed back to two.

I've heard Spalletti would take a paycut to join us, IMO he is still the most realistic option for June, after keeping DN that is.
