Sky Sport:

- Delneri could go back to Atalanta next season. Unlikely he will stay.
- We will maybe go for Gasperini. Only and Zamparini have spoken for terms next season. Not convinced by Cosmi.
- We will go for Bastos
- We will also go for Mazzarri according to Di Marzio he doesnt want to leave Napoli, I think if they fail CL he will run here.
- Two other names are Spalletti and Mancini.
Nice!

However you forgot. SKY said we have the money for 3-4 players including redemptions(Excludes Aquilani) Sanchez/Rossi, Bastos, Beck,Cissokho.

Pirlo won't come, age, and cost of wages.

Also we've met with Gasperini twice.

Bugs me that people use 4-2-3-1 as a way to basically suggest 4-2-4.

I'm not going to say that 4-2-3-1 doesn't exist, but I tend to think that most of them are actually just a flexible 4-4-2 or a slightly adjusted 4-3-3.

That's certainly what they would have been viewed as a few years ago, before folk got so obsessed with putting a definite label on every system out there.
I think it obviously depends on how rigid the system deployed by the manager is, and who is fielded in each position. The Benitez 4-2-3-1 wouldn't allow for much roaming freedom, so at times it really was a 4-4-1-1 or 4-5-1 depending on who was located just behind the main striker. The Mourinho 4-3-3 was really a 4-5-1 when they didn't see much of the ball and Eto'o and Pandev tracked back. The nice thing about those systems is that they allow for sweet counters on the flanks, which is another reason I prefer the 4-3-3 out of all formations.

The obsession with defining each system does become a bit tedious at times, and whatever label is used isn't even always correct. But looking at some of the formations posted in this thread, you can quite clearly see they would turn into 4-2-4's. I cringe whenever Quag is deployed in such a role, surrounded with the likes of Sanchez and Neymar. Not because I don't like the players, but because Quag would play like he normally would, as a striker. Unless our manager made him pull an Anelka like Carlo has this season, which would piss me off royally.

Tasci Agent :

He want's to move to Juventus in the Summer.
Definite yes, provided he isn't a fortune.

:shifty: you picked the bad half
Why's that? I havent seen that much from him during his City-spell but at HSV I liked him a lot.

:D
They mentioned Rossi and Sanchez as those four but I'm not buying that. Those would cost 30M each.

we could actually go for hamburg players, because they are in turmoil right now and will want to leave the club surely...

players of decent quality they have would be trochowski (perhaps for left wing), mladen petric (second striker or left wing), Guerrero (Striker), Elia (your favourite winger)

Gasperini would still be better than Mazzari. Unbelievable we can't look at tier 1 coaches anymore? I thnk the management is scared those guys would crack the whip and take them out of their mediocre comfort zone.

Gasperini better than someone? He's even worse than Delneri imo.

Didier or Spalletti!!! can't get those? Go for Lippi then.

The only reason we won't get a proper coach/manager (Deschamps) is our cheap owners. They know that a good coach would really wants great players who can put us back in the top (Hazard, M'Vila, Cissokho), but those players have a price and usually that price is high. They prefer to assume that we are a mid-table team than spend a bit more for one year, sadly.

Bastos, Elmander, Borriello, Pirlo, Gilardino, Gasperini, Mazzarri, etc, etc are certainly the way to go!

funny thing is SKY reporting Juve are not to keen on Mazzarri because of plays with 3 at the back while they say Gasperini is a front runner.
